Bӕ has always looked a bit older than everyone else his age. But that's just because of his face. His head appears large for his body, and it may be attributed to the fact that he keeps his hair shaven down to a very short length. It seems to cling to his head with just centimeters to spare. It's jet black and makes his skin really pop. He has very dark brown skin, but often it appears lighter than it really is. His eyes appear as if they're always examining you, with their vibrant hazel color. The intimidation that his facial expression brings can also be attributed to his eyebrows. They make the appearance of his face drastically different depending on their position. Once could burst out laughing without control if he makes a funny face, or one could want to run away scared by the way he can point them down menacingly. His lips are large and full and pink-brown mix. His ears stick out to the side almost as if they were wings in flight.

Bӕ's nose is quite thin around the eyes, but quickly bottoms out to become very wide and protruding. It fits somewhat well on his head, which is long, but very curved. In fact, his face doesn't really point out to a chin at all, it just sort of keeps curving up to from the rest of his head. It looks much more like the thin part of a wide oval than it does that of a chin. Bӕ's body is also something that attributes to the fact that his head seems a bit big for his body. He's very tall, at least a head taller than the average District One citizen. He also doesn't appear to have much muscle mass, giving him a lanky sort of look. It's not something he's self conscious about though, but he'd prefer that his body show the muscle he's gained during training.

Personality:

Bæ is very much the kind of person you would call an extrovert. He's not necessarily the best when it comes to social interactions, but he is what you'd call the class clown. One may not be able to tell just by looking at him once or twice in the hallways, but anyone who's taken the time to get to know him, even just a little bit, can clearly see that he is a funny guy. And Bæ knows he's funny, so he tries to capitalize on it. Knowing how horrible he is in serious situations, he wins people over by making jokes. A part of him wishes he could be a more serious person, but keeping people at a certain distance with comedy seems to work for him.

Unfortunately for Bæ, comedy usually does end up keeping people at a distance. He may feel close to people, and they may feel close to him, but nobody really gets him. He has close friends, quite a lot, actually, but none of them are the sort of friend that he feels like he can be totally open around. He likes the privacy that comes with his comedic personality, but sometimes he wishes that he could just pour out his emotions to someone who will listen. It's one of those situations that he wishes could've turned out different, but is scared to change it for fear it would ruin what he has now.

But to go along with all of that comedy, Bæ can also be a serious person. Especially when it comes to education. He knows that it's important to get a good education so that he can rise higher in the society. He knows he can never rise higher than a District Mayor, but he secretly has always hoped that he'd become one. He hasn't told anyone except his family, but he thinks it would be a cool and fun job. Bæ also takes his training very seriously. He trains as hard as he can because he doesn't want to fail in the Hunger Games, if he were to get Reaped. He doesn't plan on volunteering, but he's never really ruled it out as an option. He's just never truly seen the point in the Hunger Games, but at the same time he's bombarded with all of this information about how great it is. So he's feelings toward remain mostly neutral, slightly tipped to the side of liking the Hunger Games.

Bæ is also the kind of person who's very sweet. Everyone knows this side of his personality, because it shows, but only every so often. He's sweet in the sense that he'll always ask someone how they're feeling, and if they sound in the least bit upset, he'll try to talk to them. He absolutely hates when people feel bad, which is another reason why he uses comedy so much. He likes to try to keep people in good morale and spirit. He's also sweet in the sense that he's not afraid to stick up for people. But it's not the kind of sticking up for people where he gets in the oppressor's face and yells, it's the kind where he talks to the oppressor quietly and often (tries to) works out somewhat of a peace agreement between the two. The reason he's able to do this is because he's so influential around the community because of his bubbly personality, and people will listen to him.

History:

Bæ grew up as an only child. It's because his mother was believed to be infertile until she got pregnant with Bæ. After she got pregnant with Bæ and gave birth to him, the doctors told her that she should not have another baby. And the reason was because she had a weak reproductive system and it kept getting weaker every time she got pregnant. She was prone to more miscarriages. When they told her, "more miscarriages," Bæ's mother was confused. They told her that before Bæ, she was having many miscarriages, but within the very early weeks of pregnancy. They said that Bæ was a miracle and that she could try to become pregnant again, but every time she got pregnant, the chances of having a kid decreased. So Bæ's mother and father decided that Bæ would be their only child and that they'd focus all of their attention onto him. And they've never stopped letting Bæ know that he's a "miracle child."

When Bæ was just a kid, his parents would take him out to social gatherings with them. They didn't believe in babysitters and thought that Bæ should have as much exposure to the outside world as possible when he was young. He quickly learned how to act in public and in front of adults, because if he acted out or threw a tantrum or whined, his parents would severely punish him when they returned home. They would never hit him, but their seemingly favorite punishment was no meals for a day the next day. So after a couple times of throwing a tantrum, Bæ picked up the proper edicate for social gatherings. After that, he began observing what the people at the party did, keeping his mouth zipped shut for fear he may say something wrong.

He soon came to observe that the people who were most popular at the party where the ones making everybody laugh. And he realized over time that people would accept his presence at those gathering better if he tried to be funny. Of course, when he was a little child, he was not very funny, but he amused most of the adults and he became a popular idol for affection when he was out and about in public with his mom or father after that. Over the years, he began to pick up on people's taste of comedy and can now adjust his style depending on the people he's talking to and how they're reacting to his jokes.
