Dione has long blonde hair to just past her shoulders. It's wavy and has a few streaks of light brown in it here and there. Her face has a very feminine look to it, it's thin, with a sort of heart shape. Her hair line really amplifies the fact that she has a heart-shaped head. Of course, her skull isn't indented, but her hair makes hear head appear that way. Her face has no hard lines, it's all soft. Her chin comes to point, but it's rounded, so it appears more like the end of a ball-point pen than that of a pencil. Her eyes are outlined by thick black eyelashes, which also help to enhance the light brown color of her eyes. Her lips are long and a rosy pink and they're almost perpetually held in a smile.

Dione's body is something that appears less feminine than her face. Because she works in the woods all day, she has a very muscular build. She's also shorter than the average person in District Seven and so she's very self conscious about appearing too stocky. She often tries to hide her muscular body with baggy clothes. But she doesn't like baggy clothes, so she buys clothes that are just big enough so that they hang off of her, but tight enough so that it appears that she's wearing normal clothing.

Personality:

Dione has a pretty bubbly personality. She's always treating other the way she wants to be treated. She almost never has a frown on her face and her eyes are always bright with happiness. Dione isn't the kind of girl who prances around spouting out compliments and hugging everyone, she's more reserved than that. But when she walks down the hall, she flashes smiles at everyone she knows. She always says, "Hi!" to people who she knows well. And she can almost always been found laughing her head off when she's around her friends. People also think she's pretty funny, because she tries to make jokes when she's uncomfortable and meeting new people. That way she can quickly ease the situation into a less difficult one to maneuver around.

Dione also isn't the best at navigating social situations. She likes to stick to her friends group and stay around them. So when she has to branch out and talk to others, she often comes off a bit clumsy, but well-meaning. After a while she does end up starting to act regular and normal around others, but it takes some warming up for both her and the other person before Dione feels comfortable. She's generally very easy to get along with though because of how easy-going and caring she is. Dione also comes off as a bit innocent, because she often takes a little longer to understand sexual jokes. She's also a bit of a 'prude' as her friend call her. She knows their teasing, but she doesn't like the term, because she likes to think of sex and other sexual things as things to share with the person that you love the most, and nobody else.

Dione also has a very resistant personality. She can take insults like she's a brick wall being pelted with jelly beans. A lot of people admire her for her ability to act so poised and controlled when under verbal attack. Although she is very good at putting up the wall, sometimes those jelly beans make it over the wall. And she may act like she's not affected by the insults, but nobody's ever immune to those sorts of things. She doesn't let them bother her too much, but she never forgets when people are mean to her, it sticks with her forever. Because she puts up that wall to avoid being hurt, and when someone finally makes it over/through the wall, it's not a forgettable event. It's also not forgettable, because people are normally not mean to her. They usually treat her with kindness and respect because that's what she treats them with.

History:

When Dione was a little girl, she had the perfect life. She was an only child up until she was four, her parents gave her all of their attention, and they had more money to spare, because there was only three of them. Dione couldn't have been a luckier girl. But the unfortunate thing is that when Diane was three, her mother got pregnant with her brother. That brought the family closer together than ever. Dione was excited to have a brother, because she really didn't know what one was at that point. And her parents were excited to have a son. But once Dione's brother was born, the family drifted apart more.

Dione's father was less involved. He says he really wasn't, he was just trying not to favor one kid over the other. He also went to work longer so that he could keep the funds up for the family while Dione's mother was still breastfeeding and nurturing the small infant. With the absence of her father, Dione and her mother began to really become closer than ever. Dione also bonded really close to her brother, although her brother didn't quite know it yet. Dione really began to get the sense that she was his older sister, and that she would protect him as much as she could. Dione's father didn't really get that feeling in terms of being a father, he was more stressed out than ever now. Working long hours of intense physical labor, and then coming home to a toddler and a baby. He was slowly going crazy.

And so in response to this feeling of going crazy, Dione's father tried to block out his family. He was cold and distant that he began to yell at the kids and his wife whenever they tried to interfere with what he was doing. Whether it was reading a book, taking a nap, or simply sitting on the porch looking at the forest. Dione began to sincerely detest her father, but her father insisted that he loved her, her mother, and her brother. As a little kid, that really didn't mean too much to Dione, she only cared about how he showed his love to her. And throughout the years, the problem never relented and at times it got worse. Dione slowly grew more and more spiteful of her father and more and more protective and caring for her mother and brother. That's also another reason why she's so peppy and happy to everyone, because she really wants everyone to be happy, not dreading the end of the day for when they have to go home to their family.
