When you look at me what do you see? No, this isn't a trick question and I'm actually very curious. I realize that I'm supposed to be the one trying to help you picture me, but sometimes the most honest opinion of ourselves comes form other people and how they perceive us. That being said, I bet I look tough, like I was a punk that not a lot of people want to mess with. If that's how you see me you're pretty close to the real me with that one, I'm a standoffish kind of girl that spends too much time in the woods and probably takes her job too seriously.
I have bright green eyes that I've been told can pierce the darkness, and I've even had people tell me that they think I have cat eyes being able to see things at night. Truth be told though, I'm not all that magnificent with my night vision and while I do have incredible eyesight it's not THAT good. My face is round and young, which makes sense; considering I'm only 16 years old I wouldn't expect any less, but then again my parents look really old for me being a teen pregnancy. You'd never know that my mom was only 32 now because she looks like something out of a horror story. I'm not even kidding.
I hope I don't have here genes, or my father's for that matter, both of them are frightening, and my dad is a raging alcoholic. Don't you just love how I'm mixing everything together? I have ADHD so you'll have to excuse me, it's not like I can afford what I need to take to settle down and actually make a coherent thought. So yeah, ummm my appearance right? I'm very tall and extremely well built, I'm talking like 5'9" and 155lbs, I'm the poster girl for unhealthy lower district people.
My style is boyish, mostly because I found out my parents really wanted a son and instead they got some scrawny child. I wear a beenie almost all the time, it's become a part of my style, and since more often than not I don't have a huge amount of clothes that fit me, you'll be hard pressed not to see me in a sports bra and coveralls. If I'm not in those though I have my favorite pair of boxers, baggy jeans and lumberjack style shirt on. It's a bit odd but it's me.
That leads into my personality stuff too, I mean I've covered parts of it all ready, like my little attitude thing. I love to work, it's such an important part of who I am, and I like the way that it fills up my day, even if I don't really know how to fill up a day besides. Like seriously, I don't know what to do when I'm out of work other than trying to work out more and keep myself busy. There is schooling which I guess is part of work, but the ultimate goal for me is to just have work all day and be like...work then sleep, work then sleep and so on and so on.
Ask anyone though, we aren't on the ground long enough to be able to fill a day. Then we go home, and my home is basically all my history put into one thing so pay attention. Okay, so at home we have my mom, my dad and my little sister. Both my parents are obnoxious and still act like they're teenagers, and my little sister is a spoiled brat. You'd never know that I was their first child, it was like I was born and then forgotten about as soon as she came into the word. As a result she gets everything she wants.
We all live in a log cabin, the first person to make a joke gets an axe to the head, and I get the room that is near the back. When you enter, which is almost never, the first thing you see is a propaganda poster right above my bed. I designed it myself and keep it as a reminder that some day I want to be something more than a woodcutter for the Capitol. I mean it's not all bad, but I'm like a total anarchist so rules and regimes don't mean a hell of a lot to me.
What else...um hey I think I was able to cover part of my personality in with my history. Yeah though, my job isn't all great and easy. I've had more than one accident on the job that has left me scarred and/or with a few broken limbs over the years. I might be young, but I work just as hard as the veterans out in the woods. I have to keep up, I have to get stronger and when I am I'll win the Games and start my propaganda within the Capitol itself. Let's see how long they can last that way.
