Riley "Rat" Rollins
The darkness surrounded me like a cloak of shadow, this was my element, this is where I survived and built myself up into the bad ass girl that I was today. My body armor was pained a dull black color to help me blend in, and my hair was short, cropped on the sides and cut almost bald. I didn't want anything that would hinder me, I didn't want anyone to know that I was a girl. If for some reason I was caught I didn't want people to judge me as a girl, I wanted them to see a guy, or at the very least a person. So far it had worked out for me, the few times that I had been seen it was only my height that was suspiciously small. That didn't stop me though, especially when I wore my platform boots.
That being said, tonight was going to be a special night for me, it was the anniversary of when I first started causing trouble on the streets. That meant that whatever I chose to do it needed to be huge and it needed to set off a chain of explosions because...well...who didn't love explosions. Enough about that though, you get the picture, I'm a pyromaniac that wanted to see stuff blow up and laugh while it does. I had already put several of the pieces into place, and I had even made sure my escape route into my sewer system would be open. It paid to be a thorough thinking and used to this whole...lifestyle choice.
It was perfect though, using some of my homemade bombs I placed them strategically near some flammable objects. They were attached to a single cord that trailed into the alleyway where I was waiting to light it and get this fireball into the skies. After all, who said fireworks were only for Capitol pleasure. With a grin I light the match that will be the start of an awesome chain reaction. Of course there would be no casualties, I wasn't in it to killing innocent people. I was more or less looking for a way to show the Capitol that I wasn't their bitch, and even if they didn't know if it was me for sure, they at least knew someone was rebellious.
With an almost wicked laugh I place the match down against the wire and watched it travel slowly along the coil, leaving a trail of ashes and pieces of coal making a pattern in the ground, my signature knife in a skull. It was going to happen soon, it was coming, it was going to happen. I got up quickly and ran towards my sewer entrance, just as the explosion rocked the ground underneath me. Riley "Rat" Rollins had struck again, and when I reached my home I turned around and watched the show from my little hiding place. I wasn't nicknamed Rat for nothing, this was how I lived, down here where I could move freely and not have to worry about anyone finding me.
