[presto] T OBIAS
| He found that he forgot more and more each day. The feel of his brother's palms upon his cheeks or the gentle gruffness in his tone that so often lulled the lost boy to sleep. He forgot the feeling of his hand upon his back and of the comfort that it once brought. How much longer did he have, Tobias wondered as he stuck his hands deep within dark pockets, until he forgot his brother's name. The way it felt leaving his lips. And it was some terrible injustice to Mordecai. The prospect of moving on, of forgetting to trace familiar routes with worn soles. It was so blasphemous that it did little more than send violent shudders down his spine and stick pins into his heart. |
