She was bored. She had just finished her latest book, and it had left her with a bad taste in her mouth. Sometimes they did that. Instead of letting her escape into a world where she could be one of the bad ass heroines that did as they pleased, it only reminded her that she never would be one of those. Sparrow was restless, and her feet took her where they wanted, without her using her brain for once. It was nice, the physical action instead of just thinking. God, sometimes she got so tired of thinking.
Apparently she really wasn't thinking, though, because when she looked up she realized exactly where she was. Outside the training center. Immediately her heart rate increased, and her breath caught in her throat. If her mother saw her even this close, she'd not be allowed out of the house for at least a few weeks. The thought of being trapped made her sick, but the urge to actually enter for once drove her on. The petite girl, the one with the crooked legs and slightly blue sclera, made her way towards the door and pushed it open.
The bustle inside took her breath away. It was beautiful. The smell of sweat wasn't even a deterrent. She wanted so, so badly to be a part of this.
And then someone bumped her, and she went down. This had been a bad idea, a stupid idea, and her mother and doctor would find out and she'd be in so much trouble...She blinked in surprise as she did a quick once over and realized that she was absolutely fine. "Huh." She whispered softly to herself, getting a rush of adrenaline and standing back up.
A commotion nearby caught her attention, and she made her way carefully over. It looked like someone was hurt...And she knew quite a bit about being hurt, after all.
