Appearance:
Uranus might have been short and skinny at one point, but puberty has been kind to him. Okay, so he's still pretty skinny, but he's at least average height now and he's got some muscle to him even if it isn't super apparent. Doing dumb shit like jumping out of trees and off of ledges will do that to you. Oh, and running from authority figures. He has medium to long blonde hair and blue eyes, and a decent enough tan to his skin. A bit of an oddball, really, for an intellect driven district. He looks more like the type that would be at home in four with a surfboard in hand. Life was unfair like that.
He's typically seen with a bandanna tied around his head, partially because he thinks it compliments him and partially to keep the sweat out of his eyes when he's doing whatever it is he may be doing in his spare time on that day. Jeans with holes are another common thing to spy this boy in, and loose comfortable shirts that show off his body. Hell, for the sake of appearance, he'll even put on some skinny jeans if there's any available to him. Not to say that he is without flaws, though. He is still just a bit too skinny to be "hot" and he could stand to be a bit taller. Plus a lot of people say that his hair is too long and he should cut it, or that it was getting a little on the greasy side.
Personality:
When he closes his eyes, he can still hear their laughter. Sometimes he still feels like that quiet, shy, little boy that felt every insulting word and jibe like a knife.
"Uranus? What kind of name is that? Your mom take it up the butt so much she just had to slip that into your name?"
"Hey, Anus. Looking a bit brown today. Might want to clean the shit off your face."
So one day, he decided he'd had enough, and shot a your mom joke right back. The laughter directed at the other kids was like a drug to him - it made him feel invincible and he was hooked. He began a (some said) downward spiral into perverse humor and pranks, no longer caring about the rules that supposedly bound him. He has charisma enough to get himself out of some binds. He holds his jokes close to him, a shield from those who have previously hurt him, sometimes not realizing they can double as a sword. After all, he means no harm, so surely he is nothing like those who teased him? He lives in the moment, assuming things will always work out in his favor. Besides, who has time to plan for the future or any of that boring stuff when there's so many fun things to do?
Despite his highly sexualized sense of humor, he is quite inexperienced with the ladies. He dresses the part, acts the part...but he has yet to actually truly get that close to a woman. Or a man, as he doesn't really discriminate, in theory. Of course, if someone were to make a joke about him being gay, he would probably adamantly deny it and turn it around on them. Uranus is a bit of a hypocrite like that.
As much of a front as he puts on around everyone, he is, deep down, still a highly sensitive soul. He is damaged by how unfair life has been so far, and he is guarded with everyone except for his family, who he sometimes lets see the true him. The one who jokes, but loves fiercely. The protector, not the one damaging others. But shit happens, and Uranus has a bad habit of sticking his foot in his mouth.
History:
"Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!"
The usual way he was woke up as a child. Nothing new there. Except that today was his first day of school, and the skinny little boy was excited. He came from a big family, so how should school be any different? And he'd heard good things. Fun things. He couldn't wait to get there.
He didn't know that day in and day out he would be plagued with jokes about his name. Those kids didn't understand that Uranus was actually a really cool name. They didn't get it. His parents told him that everyday after school when he would come home with some new joke aimed straight at his paper heart.
Uranus is very similar in composition to Neptune, and perhaps this is also true for the two brothers. However, when faced with his challenges, Uranus built a cast around his damaged heart. That cast was constructed from jokes, sarcasm, pranks, and trouble-making. He was no perfect son, but he did his best to keep his parents from realizing that. His charisma and good looks allowed him to keep out of too much trouble, and at home he kept the perverse jokes to himself.
At least at first. Then things began to fall apart a little. Oh, he still kept himself out of the biggest bits of trouble, but jokes and pranks began slipping out at home. And worse than that, he hurt some of his peers at school. He didn't have a huge group of friends, not like the other kids who had actually intended to use their words as weapons. And he couldn't understand that.
Life was unfair. Uranus could be unfair right back.
