Name: Racer Octavion Fitzpatrick.
Age: 17.
Gender: Male.
District/Area: District 6.
Face claim: Arthur Sales (model).
Appearance:Racer has dark, chocolate brown hair which is much shorter on the sides than on top and he tends to constantly brush it back out of his eyes when he leaves it to air dry after washing it. His eyebrows are in keeping with his hair colour and on the slightly bushy side, but ever since he changed they're mainly hidden behind his glasses. His circular, black rimmed glasses are also used, not just for being able to see, but to hide his vibrant green eyes with slight gold flecks in them that seem to bring him far too much attention; the reason he's grown to despise them. His face is framed by a chiselled jaw, which has always made him look older than he is ever since he hit puberty, and ears that slightly stick out from his head at their tips. Despite his ears sticking out, the rest of his facial features are mainly in proportion, with the bump on his nose also being disguised by his glasses.
Ever since he was a young boy he's been incredibly tall, reaching the height of 5' by the age of 12 and constantly growing to his height of 6'1" by the time his 16th birthday came around. When he was younger he loved having the height advantage to all the kids, but ever since his change he's hated it because being at such a towering height it's impossible to hide and cower away. Since he was an athletic child, his body, whilst not being overly muscled, still has slight definition and he doesn't have an ounce of extra weight despite him believing he has 'podgy' cheeks and ears. Racer hates standing out from the crowd, so even though he likes looking smart, he will generally wear hoodies and jeans with old, beat up shoes so he can try and fade into the background.
Personality:The young Racer Octavion Fitzpatrick was what you would define as a terror child, always causing chaos during school hours and during his home life. He was confident in his ways enough that he didn't worry of the consequences. In simple words, the young version of Racer was a bully, picking out the weakest and teasing them to tears or to invoke any form of physical or verbal action. It was something to give him a sense of power and he fed off it.
Now his 17 year old self is reserved and studious; his head constantly in a book rather than thinking of his next plan to wreck havoc. It hadn't been an instant change to this reserved personality, but a slow process as he eventually backed off from his victims and kept his own thoughts and feelings to himself. The reason why he not only felt the need to change, but changed without him really realising it himself was unclear, but there had always been one person he bullied that invoked a strange reaction in him.
This person made him think more about what he was doing and he felt guilty afterwards.
This person made him stop and stare more than once.
This person was a male.
From those moments in his younger years, Racer has been sexually confused but as he's grown up and matured from his hellish ways, he's somewhat come to accept that maybe, just maybe, he really isn't that interested in girls.
Instead of dwelling on that fact too much, he spends the majority of his free time studying (mainly the sciences as they seem to come easier to him that anything else), sitting with his head in a book as he lets his mind wander to better times and places; even if they are fictional, or going for a run to relieve the stress of studying. The old Racer is completely gone and there is never a day that goes by that he ever thinks he wants to go back to them. He wants nothing more than to stay in the background - his quite, small world.
History:It was safe to say Racer's life was normal - as normal as anyone's life in the districts were. He had both his parents and an older brother by six years, meaning that by the time Racer turned 15 his brother had already left home and found a place of his own. His brother, Flynn, and himself were incredibly close growing up because they had been so similar - both loving the feeling that causing chaos brought to them. But unlike Racer, Flynn never changed and at the age of 23 he still likes causing mischief, especially in his own home to his wife, but him and Racer still somehow get along like they used to.
Despite his family being completely normal, they were flawed. The issue? His sexuality. Racer had never come right out and said his wasn't interested in girls and was confused, but his parents had somehow caught on - especially when his face flare up at any mention of why he had never had a girlfriend to bring home to show off to them. It was a difficult concept, but by the way his father acted at only the idea of his son not being as straight as he should be, Racer was in fact terrified to properly come out and tell them the truth. His mother seemed a little more docile about the topic, an adorable glint lighting up in her eyes whenever the topic came up; and it came up a lot. If his father had the same reaction, maybe he'd be more inclined to talk to them.
Nevertheless, when the topic wasn't brought up they got on perfectly well. His parents hated the Devil child Racer was because they'd had to go through that same trauma with Flynn and they'd both gone grey during his younger years; so when it was Racer's turn to take over, his parent's were at their wits end. It was no surprise that they were overjoyed when he stopped causing mischief and starting spending more time in his room studying or asking questions about homework. They finally had a child that wasn't causing trouble and was actually bothered about getting better grades.
That wasn't to say that Flynn was useless. It was quite the opposite. Flynn seemed to have the naturally ability to be pretty much brilliant in anything he put the slightest bit of effort in to. Flynn was also happily married to his childhood sweetheart and Racer could always see the proud gleam in his parents eyes whenever they spoke of him and what he achieved. He would have been the perfect child if he hadn't, and wasn't, such a trouble maker.
Racer on the other hand had to work hard at anything other than the sciences, and still does. But because the sciences come so naturally to him and his trouble maker days were over, he was an easier child to handle. If it wasn't for the fact that Racer was pretty sure he was gay, he would also be a perfect child.
So between his parents, the two of them had created one, perfect child. It was just a shame they couldn't see the true potential of either of their sons, and even more of a shame that they won't be able to overlook Racer's true nature when it comes to light.
