what you seeStanding at a rather short 5'7'', Recks weighs in at around 136 pounds. He's tinier for his age, and notices it quite a bit. He isn't extremely short but feels as if that's the case. His arms and legs aren't particularly muscled as his job doesn't require an intense amount of carrying and lifting. His skin is fair and smooth, rough along his palms because of all the work he puts them through. Shoulders are often pushed back for a good posture, and a grin is commonly across his face.
His hair is brown and messy, almost always looking wind swept or like it was pushed back with a combing of his fingers. Eyebrows are thin but dark, curving along the outsides to finish off what appears like an inquisitive look. Facial hair can be found stretching across his jawline, but never grows past a bit of stubble before he deals with it with a worn razor. It's all dark brown in colour and stands out against the paleness of his skin, appearing to be in greater quantity than it actually is. He's certainly further along in the hair department than the height department for growth, having noticeably hairy arms, legs and a chest.
His eyes are colored with brown irises, and yet they always seem to be bright with intrigue and enthusiasm. They're shaped like semi-circles, laugh lines existing already along the edges. Recks' eyes seem to add for more age to the rest of his face, making him look older than he actually is. The rest of his face is fairly rounded and still possessing much of the youthfulness to it. His cheekbones are high, his cheeks still having quite a bit of volume to them. Dimples exist on either side of his mouth, always accentuated with his wide smiles.
His nose is thick, but shorter, ending in a rather large base with big nostrils. It is fairly flat to his face, not sticking out as a bird's would. Lips are thinner and long, almost always stretched into a grin of some sorts - either mischievous or content - and part to show his off-white teeth. Canines especially sharp, the bottom line of his teeth appear rather crowded and squished together. His ears are long and are tucked back against his head, often having the tops hidden by his hair that crosses over top it.
Most of his size can be seen in his chest and shoulders, appearing rather large to match his long head. They stretch down into thinner arms, though, finishing off in rough hands that are worn from use. His fingers have various cuts across them, often bandaged up with little wraps of gauze for each finger. His nails are a mess from biting them and from chipping them on the rig equipment. Legs stretch from the base of his torso, hairy and thick but ending in regular sized feet. They tend to be covered by the work boots he needs to wear to enter into the rigs that dot the District Five plains.
what you areA goofy and dorky smile always seems to exist upon his face, stretching across and revealing his white teeth. He's a jokester at heart, always wanting to bring light to situations that may be tense or stressful. It works well on the rigs to keep people smiling as much as possible, but he also tends to be a bit of a prankster as a result of his joking style. Life is too short in his eyes, and so Recks keeps himself occupied with something happy and bright instead of letting the dullness of the world sink in to him.
He's energetic, almost always bustling with energy. It can get quite exhausting for those around him as he never seems to stop, keeping himself going at all times. Sleep isn't an issue for him, and so he always appears to have slept incredibly well because of the moods he tends to be in. Recks isn't typically the kind of person to take things seriously, either, always keeping it lighthearted because he prefers it that way. It can prove to be a bad thing at times, especially when things really should be treated seriously.
Recks does have a nasty anger streak, though, if pushed that way. Keeping everything bottled up inside to instead keep up with his happy and smiling personality, he tends to release it all at once if encouraged enough. In general, he avoids confrontation and conflict for this sole reason; he is aware that he can't particularly control the anger very well if he gets started. For this reason he looks solely at the good traits of people, tending to be ignorant to their faults. If he were to acknowledge the bad, it would push him towards being the confrontational person he avoids as much as possible. He's optimistic, believing that the world is pure until it proves otherwise - something that tends to be difficult to do for him.
A lot of his quips are sarcastic in their tone, but almost always jokingly so. He's a very sweet guy, almost a little too sweet. Without a doubt Recks is innocent. Because he was practically coddled as a child, he finds himself to be very dependent and doesn't exactly step out of his comfort zone to go after what he wants. He has yet to really experience the world beyond what he believes to be the extent of what he will face. For this reason he tends to take the fall for others, not quite understanding the consequences for many different things. In a sense it makes him an amazing friend, but it also gets him in situations he'd probably rather not be in.
Recks loves his job in rig maintenance. He ensures that the machines keep running optimally, almost always having his wrench with him to go to work. Still learning all the intricacies that come with knowledge of mechanics, he does all that he can to offer his services at the various rigs he gets assigned to. There's one issue with arming him with a wrench: Recks has a desire to explore and experience the rest of the world. It's less of a feeling of wanderlust and more just an urge to discover. Giving him the tools and the parts, and now informing him of the knowledge necessary to do it, Recks hopes to one day accomplish something that will help him explore.
what you rememberSasha and Ingil Avon were the best parents you could ever really ask for. They were the most loving that you could ever expect, seeing their one and only son as the arrival of a God into the mortal world. Sasha lost the ability to bear children after the birth of Recks, and so they cherished him with everything they could. He was their pride and joy, their one and only, and was raised as such.
Which evidently caused problems as he grew up entirely coddled. Anything he wanted, his parents would do for him. They weren't rich, but getting what they wanted certainly wasn't an issue for the Avon family. Recks was taught that he could have the world if he wanted it; all he would need to do to get what he wanted was ask. Sure, it may have been good to teach your child that they can accomplish anything except that Sasha and Ingil never really established that much to their son. He instead grew up being very dependent on his parents and the figures of authority around them.
Going to school was disastrous at first. He never really got along with those around him because he grew up believing that people were there to serve him. He had a very immature sense of the world, seeing it much like a kid would. Everything was beautiful, everybody was happy and everybody had to do as he wished because it was his world. There was no doubt he would get what was coming to him but it didn't come until his pre-teen years. His dependency was still very much a thing but now he started to see the ugliness of the world; he decided to ignore most of it to keep the perfect image he had constructed. Recks kept the positive outlook, but worked hard to drop the sense of entitlement.
Since starting to work at the rigs with maintenance, he has improved slightly on his dependence on others. He tries to be independent as much as possible but finds failure to be insulting; he faces far too much failure as he takes what seem like his first steps into the world. At the end of the day though, he has a way with a wrench and an incredible understanding of how the machinery works. He's quick at grasping what exactly is occurring and so his flaws are worth putting up with to get his invaluable gift on the rigs.
His goal in life is to explore and discover, quite enjoying the prospects of what exists outside in the world. As a kid, his favourite stories were those of people who traveled the world to determine what existed and so he wants there to be stories about him one day. He works along a few of the Eastern rigs, keeping them running at all times to continue extracting all the precious oil underneath the fields that previously housed so many animals. One day he wants to explore. He's just waiting for that time to come.
