Third Person, First Person, Says, Thinks
He poked roughly at the clover that was strapped to his chest, flinching only slightly at the pain that came from doing so. The wound on his chest was healing but definitely not healed. His sneer made his cheek ache slightly, stretching the scab over the gash on his face. This one he hadn't been able to treat more than cleaning it and hoping for the best. Still, the scab was forming properly and it was mostly painless.
Annora stood beside him, looking just as battered. Her wolfish appearance still gave him an odd thrill - thrill of the hunt, or thrill at being around another monster, he couldn't say - and he admired her sharp teeth whenever she smiled at him.
They had stayed on the beach that night, deciding to not bother travelling anywhere while they had both been so raw. Others cleared the area and so they had their own little spot near the bloody rocks.
In the morning they were alone, almost completely alone, on the beach. Faint shapes moved at the far end but here there was no one except for them. Looking at Annora, the memory of the last wolf-girl he had killed came to him. Were the Gamemakers telling him something? The smile on his lips was sharp and cold, lacking any sensation of comfort. Seemingly, he would kill another wolf, and seemingly that second wolf was Annora.
How nice it would be to finally take his revenge on her for ignoring him, disobeying him, acting like he had no control. Oh, she would learn. He would have control over her soon. The message on the rock could use some freshening up.
He sneered at her, removing his pole hammer from his pack in one swift movement before aiming it at her head.
