Appearance:
Damion Madera has short wavy brown hair that is usually styled in a messy fashion. His ears are moderate in size, but are usually covered by his frizzy hair. Facial wise, he shaves when he can with his prized razor, which is somewhat often. He prefers to have at least a small amount of stubble on his face. His eyes are a hue of brown almost of that of light chocolate. His face, overall, is quite attractive. Well, at least that's how he views it.
His body is toned and his muscles are defined due to the fact that he works with heavy lumber every day in his district. His build isn't incredibly large, but its defined nature shows that he does have a decent amount of strength. He usually has to carry lumber weighing anywhere from 60 pounds to 180 pounds. Though, strength isn't the skill he is known for in District 7. He is most known for being able to run faster than the other lumber workers when they sometimes compete to see who can carry back their share of lumber first. He also has above average skills in climbing trees. He stands at 6'2", which is an average height for a hefty lumber worker. His weight, on the other hand, is 182 pounds, which is lighter than a lumber worker would want. His attractive form tends to catch some attention. Or well, he could always be making these things up.
Damion prefers to dress as casual as he can when he isn't wearing his work clothing. He usually tends to wear dark green collar shirts with his work pants. When he is in his work clothes, he doesn't care to get them dirty as long as he gets the job done. He isn't familiar with the world of fashion, as he lives out in the backwoods of District 7, but if introduced to neat styles, he will find a liking to them.
Being and working in the woods all his life, he's never gone swimming, which can be dangerous if he is forced into water. He doesn't know how to use ranged weapons as the only weapons/tools he's used in his lifetime have been either axes or knives. He isn't very good at cooking meals since he always has someone to make them for him. When asked to cook, he doesn't question it, just makes a bad tasting meal.
Personality:
Damion is quite cocky. When others don't see a way, he always does. When others tell him something is impossible, he attempts it. No matter how someone tries to degrade him, he always finds a way to comeback from an insult and make the best of the situation. He also tends to be overly sarcastic to the point that it is slightly annoying. Besides his cocky and sarcastic nature, he tends to stay very cheerful.
He tends to treat people differently depending on appearance. He's known to be nicer and more open to someone who is attractive versus someone who isn't. He does this because he feels that attractiveness shows the healthiness and well-being of the other individual. He doesn't mind helping unattractive individuals, just when given a choice, he would rather help someone attractive. He hates being alone. If he is given an opportunity to tag along with others, he would take it.
He can sometimes be persuasive when he finally gets a serious attitude. When in a position of power or change, he would do whatever he thinks is right, even if it effects another in a negative way. When betrayed or angered, he keeps a grudge on the individual(s) that crossed him and works as hard as he can to get back at them. When he finally has his enemy in a corner, he wastes time teasing them sarcastically.
His goal in life is to one day find a true love that would settle down with him and have a family. He works hard in his job in order to care for a family in the future. He would throw down everything for someone he likes or categorizes as a friends. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with the local populace of District 7 and listening to rumors. He also enjoys screwing around with his friends.
History:
Damion spent his childhood growing up in a small family of four. His mother's occupation was to put together and make furniture for the Capitol. His father's occupation was the same occupation as his is now, working with lumber. Damion has a younger brother, Blaine Madera, whom is one year younger than Damion. Blaine and Damion were close when they were children, but now, they hardly hang out anymore due to Damion having to work with the other lumberjacks all the time.
Before heading out to work as a lumberman, Damion took classes with the local school. He was a decent student, as long as he paid attention. Sometimes, he would skip classes to hang out with some of his friends on the edge of the District line. This would always get him in trouble and eventually got his parents angry with him. After his parents scolded him for his misdemeanors, he never skipped class again. He would hang out with his friends after class, though.
As his friends and he got older, they gained new hobbies, including thievery. They would distract shop owners to allow one of them to take something useful, most likely food or something that could help them get food. This hobby went on for a year before they were caught... well, until Damion was caught. When he was caught, he was given a painful hiding and was kept under close watch the following months.
