 AGE: GENDER: Female DISTRICT: Twelve APPEARANCE: Jasmine has eyes that are blue-gray, yet almost green, and her brown hair reaches past her shoulders. Sometimes, there can be a bit of acne seen on her face, though it isn't too common, as her face is generally clear of blemishes with smooth skin. Her teeth, however, are a bit crooked, and she also sees to have a chronic cough. When she walks, due to having one foot a bit bigger than the other, she will occasionally stumble a bit. At five feet and eight inches tall, Jasmine is generally taller than most of her female friends. Her weight is rather average for someone of her height as well. Not very athletic, Jasmine doesn't have the most toned body, but she does not have a negative image of herself. Seen as rather pretty, Jasmine isn't one to flaunt it. She wears rather considerate clothing, and won't try to show herself off. As her family is middle-class for a District Twelve family, she has a good amount of clothes, but not so much as to be seen as someone with an overly average amount of things. Some of her favorite things to wear include plain colored clothing with a piece of jewelry to accent. The only way she has managed to get this jewelry is by trading for it in exchange for some of the food her family has left over from their garden. This is, of course, only when she has permission from her mother to sell it. FLAWS: ✗ Acne ✗ Crooked Teeth ✗ Chronic Cough ✗ Different Size Feet PERSONALITY: Jasmine has always been the calm and quiet type that kept to herself. Perhaps it was out of fear, and a lack of self-confidence, however. She has always feared the Capitol and the games, and is not confident that she would be able to survive them if she were picked. Also, she lacks confidence in herself with a lot of the things that she does. This can be anything from athletic activity to her schoolwork. If anything, she has more confidence in others than herself. This also causes her to be jealous of people sometimes, however, as she feels that they are much more capable of doing things than she is. Also a rather indecisive person, she can almost never make decisions for herself. When someone asks her what she prefers, she is often indifferent, and doesn't seem to be able to make quick decisions when problem solving, either. Startled easily, someone can simply place their hand on Jasmine's shoulder and she will jump. Sometimes even simply speaking to her will cause her to flinch for a moment. This would not be a very helpful thing if she were ever put into the games, as she would likely be one to give herself away. She is trying to get rid of this fact about her, though, by trying not to react as much when startled. As a very caring and courteous person, Jasmine will look out for others, even if she isn't quite sure how she can help them. She wants to do whatever she can to assist them, but doesn't always know how. Jasmine also enjoys being social. She can be a bit of an awkward romantic, at least in her own eyes, though to others, she is perfectly good at it. A very grateful person, she appreciates the littlest things that people do for her. She also tries to do little things for other people when she can, and likes to be as nice as possible. Generally, when she gets upset, she remains quiet and does not confront people. FLAWS: ✗ Jealous ✗ Startled Easily ✗ Indecisive ✗ Lacks Self-Confidence HISTORY: Jasmine always wanted to run away from the District, but knew she would never be able to. After all, she would be bound to be caught if she tried. All she wanted was to get out of the harsh world she was in. Each year, she watched other innocent people be picked for a death match. She just hoped that it would never be her or someone she knew. Living with her parents, she tried to keep her life simple. She didn't want to think about the horrors that could take her off her feet when she wasn't ready; the horrors of the games would ruin her life. Her main escape from life in the moment was spending time with her best friend and her boyfriend, who were siblings to one another. Jasmine had known her best friend, Thyme, since around when they started school together. Years later, she met Sycamore, and despite the fact that they were both young, they fell in love at ages fourteen and fifteen. Now, Jasmine spends her days on her own most of the time, when she's not with Sycamore or Thyme. When she is with them, they just relax and talk with one another. Sometimes they'll talk about what they would do if they were put into the games, and sometimes they would talk about getting away from it all, even though it wasn't ever going to be possible for them to do without getting caught. Escaping the cruelty of the Capitol was often one of the few things on Jasmine's mind, however, she would run away before she would dare to fight. When Jasmine was particularly young, she always seemed to spend her time by herself. She had no interest in being with the other kids, and this even started to worry her parents, because of how solitary she was. Eventually, she grew out of this stage, around when she started school and met Thyme, to the relief of her parents. Sometimes, nowadays, she feels almost like she's trapped in her own life, and that there's no way out. Therefore, she just keeps fighting. She wishes she had someone to break her free of it all, but she can't ever get out of it. Thyme and Sycamore are the two people in her life that she feels keep her from breaking down.
