Tis the season for yet another heart warming, hot chocolate making, warming and cozying up by the fireplace, Ratmas! Yes, another year- another 365 days have come and passed us by so quickly, and I bet you know what that means! If you’ve guessed- Ratmas events galore, then you’re right! Not only that, but the Tutors are here yet another year to deliver you a brand-spanking new event, one we’ve been very eager to share with you all- ( “On the first day of Ratmas the Tutors gave to me” ) The White Elephant!
Come grab your cup of hot chocolate, and peppermint, then join the HGRPG family in sitting down by the fireplace, as each and everyone of us tell our own stories through characters. “What is the White Elephant? How do I participate?”, these are questions one might ask, and no fret, we’re here to explain everything in the next section!RULES & HOW TO’S
Are you interested in The White Elephant event? Well, if so, then stick around for a bit, and here is where we’ll explain everything that this event is about and what goes into it!
First, and foremost, White Elephant, in the fairytale human world, is a holiday tradition to many, many people, and we’ve come to incorporate a version of our own to bring to all of you!
Naturally, during a white elephant, there would be an order for those to pick their gifts, and as people go down the line the next person would get the chance to either steal someone’s gift, or pick another one up of their own.
Now that we’ve covered the basic of what a White Elephant is, you might be asking, “How will that be possible for us?”
Well, in a short and sweet explanation, this is how;
1. You’ll be given FOUR DAYS to sign up in this thread, we’re going to be more strict about this deadline, as we still have a lot of planning around this, and we want to give you all as much time as possible to write your hearts away! So please, try to be timely when signing up.
2. After the deadline ( all of which will be listed in the next section! ) you will be given ONE WEEK to send your submission to Avalon’s PM, once this time is hit there will be no more submissions accepted. As per usual, if you signed up and do not follow through with a submission, you will no longer be able to participate in choosing a present. So make sure to set a reminder, or a few!
Also, make sure that when you submit, make sure to format your PM Title by event, character’s first and last name ( only first if it doesn’t fit ), and district number.

White Elephant, Ronan DuBois, D7
3. When all of the submissions are sent in and sorted randomly into presents, a list of those who’ve signed up will be randomized to select, one-by-one, each gift they’d like.
Please keep in mind that this IS a White Elephant gift exchange, and as we move down the line, in order, the next person, or anyone after, may choose to either steal a gift of yours, or another’s, or select an open one still available from under the Ratmas tree! If you have your gift stolen by another, you may only choose another available gift from beneath the tree right after they have taken it, you may not steal it back.
Important note: Gifts may only be stolen three times by different people, once the third person has stolen it, then it is theirs to keep!
4. Once everyone has gotten their gifts, then they will then be revealed by being placed into their accommodated section throughout either the Districts, or AU Roleplay.
Something to always keep in mind:
This event is to celebrate one another, so please remember to keep it all lighthearted and fun, gifts can have silly writing, serious writing, however you’d like to make it! Though, the most important thing to remember is to have fun!DEADLINES
The sign up, and entry deadlines will go as follows:DECEMBER 26TH - DECEMBER 29TH/30TH
These four days will be the SIGN UPS to enter into the event, after the clock strikes Midnight and entering on December 30th, then sign ups will be closed.DECEMBER 30TH - JANUARY 5TH/6TH
This week will be the one where entries are allowed to be submitted, as with the first deadline, anything past this point of entering January 6th will not be accepted.

This will be when the presents are placed beneath the tree, and the order will be listed to begin choosing, this does not have a deadline, though we’d like to keep everything to a timely manner.SIGN UP[b]Name/Alias:[/b]
