One game down and fireworks dance through her eyes. It's rather quick how it all went down; Dom Copperview's disent to disgrace was certainly not hindered by her and Warren's games, filled with monstrous robots and double vision and a second District 11 Victor (but it wasn't a curse then, just a coincidence).
She's expecting Warren in minutes; currently, Charlie's rummaging in the wine cellar for a celebratory bottle (her apartment, all chrome, high-ceilings and white leather, has one that reveals itself with the push of a button). While not the 70th, there's certainly much to celebrate, seeing that it's not their heads on the chopping block. With a huff, Charlie pulls the wine out of its storage space. Already she's a little buzzed: mimosas at brunch and some gin and tonic while waiting for dinner have sent her on a journey of her own.
Buzzer rings and Charlie smacks the bottle down on the counter with a loud THWACK, heading towards the intercom. "It's open, come up."
As she waits for the elevator to deposit Warren on her floor, Charlie stares out at the window, the show outside her wall-length windows giving her a headache. She pours herself a glass of wine a little early, just as there's a knock on the door.
Charlie swings it open and heads back to the couch, plopping herself down (and making sure not to spill on her pure white couch). "Takeout's on the counter. The wine's pretty decent too, 20 year old black cherry." Brimming with dark notes of fruit, cinnamon and mahogany. "Cost a pretty penny too." (but being a Gamemaker she could have probably bought out the entire winery).
Garnet motions for Warren to sit next to her, and to "Get me some food while you're over there? Bowls are in the top drawer next to the stove. Thanks."
