You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, you know Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen… but what about the stories of our own wonderful holiday, Ratmas?
That’s what the Ratmas Lore event is all about. Today, we’re going to join together in typical Ratmas spirit and work together to write a fun, whimsical story about our own site holiday. Only this particular storytelling event has a bit of a twist!
How does it work?
The Ratmas Lore event will run from now until the end of Day 7. You must sign up in order to participate in this event! Sign ups begin now (yes, right now!) and will go until 12PM EST on 1/1 (that’s tomorrow, boys and girls!). Then the real fun begins ^^
I’ll be starting off our wonderful story with a sentence, which I will then PM or DM to the first person who signed up for the event. They will send me a sentence in response, which I will send to the next person who signed up without showing them the first sentence. Again, they will write a response to that sentence, and I will PM/DM it to the next person, and the cycle will continue until we have a full fledged story. So basically, no one will see the full story until the very end. You will only see the sentence that was written before you. Overall, it should make for a pretty wacky story ^^
What are the rules?
If you sign up for this event, be ready to participate. I will be starting right away at noon EST and going all the way until midnight, and I need everyone to respond as soon as they possibly can to the sentence I send them so I can keep the ball rolling. Please note that if you do not respond within 30 minutes of me PM/DMing you, I will skip you for that round and send the sentence to the next person. It’s only one sentence, I know you guys can do it <33
Other than that, feel free to be wacky! Throw members from the site into the story, make crazy things happen - we want this story to be as fun and silly as possible (though please keep it PG-13 for the kiddos, ladies and gents ^^).
How do I sign up?
All you have to do is reply to this thread stating your username and how you would like me to send you the sentence (through PM or over Slack). That’s it! Easy enough, huh?
BONUS: You get 5 house points (yeee) for every sentence you submit!
