Just as with the 68.5th Games last year, training is different. There are no exemptions. Tributes are limited to two stations each. Hunger, thirst, and first aid are all gone. PM your station choices to your Gamemakers; Avalon , анзие (Anz) , Sunrise Rainier D2 // [Thundy]
Side note: Please make sure to include your tribute's name in your PM if it isn't already in your display name.
Training stations offered:
Blades – knives, swords, etc (+1 to damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts for bladed combat, that is, knives and swords)
Target practice – ranged weapons (+1 to damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts for any shot or thrown weapons)
Strength – axe, flail, club/blunt (+1 to damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts for axe, flail, spear, and blunt weapons)
Self-defense – deflecting attacks (-1 from damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts)
Improvisational weapons – teaches tribute to make weapons out of hard wood that can be used for 2/3 damage in the arena (ie: a 6pt attack from a makeshift wooden spear would be redeemable for 4pts damage) All makeshift weapons are per staff acceptance. Without this station, hard wood can be used as a ½ damage club weapon (ie: 6pts damage = 3pts damage)
Endurance – Allows tributes to move two areas rather than one, but only once every three days.
Training Quiz -
- In one or two sentences, describe how your tribute would respond to these questions/situations. You may write your responses however you would like, so long as your answers are numbered and concise, and PM them when you're done. All responses should be sent to all 3 of your Gamemakers.
- This time around, the top three training scores - rather than getting $500 in sponsorship -- will receive $500 in site cash. So think through your answers and choose wisely!
Training Questions:1. If your tribute were to be trapped in a winter arena, where each day they could potentially freeze to death, what would your tribute and their allies do to get warm? ( If you know what I mean (((; )
2. Your tribute wanders around the arena ultimately running into a region filled with statues of past tributes, made of polished marble, looking into their gaze your tribute decides to touch it which leads into it ensnaring them in its grasp- what do they do to get out of it?
3. Stranded all alone after the Bloodbath, your tributes allies have unfortunately died, they have no idea where they’re headed and the Careers took over the Cornucopia. All they have left in the lone pack they retrieved is 3 yards of string, a pair of tweezers, and an empty water jug, how will they survive off this? What life choices do they make? Did they consider them well?
4. The arena is pitch black and underground, beneath caves, the only light source is sponsored to you, or retrieved from the Bloodbath. Your tribute escape alive, albeit unfortunately, with nothing to bring light into the darkness. There’s a sound travelling towards them, they cannot tell if it’s a tribute, a mutt, etc. what is your tributes first reaction?
5. How will your tribute prove their usefulness while trying to make allies before the games?
