Y'all, I am totally floored by the success of the "Leave a Note" challenge for Ratmas 2015. It was a fascinating glimpse into your lives. Some of you wrote every day; some of you wrote not at all. Some of you wrote light and funny things; some of you wrote deep and pensive things.
For my undergraduate BA in Sociology, I focused on several elements of humanity including: deviance and brotherhood. I didn't want to write about sociopaths and terrorists in college. Instead, I wanted to write about the other end of deviance: heroism. It is a deviant act to leap onto the train tracks to save a stranger. It is a deviant act to pass out one dollar bills at the mall.
A lot of you demonstrated heroism and brotherhood in these notes. You wrote of friendships and relationships and history and the future. Thank you for that. In the end, I don't think you were writing to me. I think you were writing to yourselves, and to each other. In that vein, I've pulled out a few of my favorite lines (mostly fluff). If anyone wants to continue doing this, I'm always game to keep on reading.

"Have you ever considered the practicality of a restaurant that serves Lean Cuisines?
