plot description

In District Thirteen, a group of teenagers were arrested for a series of infractions. They were placed in a prison for years, until District Thirteen ran short of resources to supply the imprisoned teens with. After dispute among District Thirteen citizens, it was ruled that the district no longer had the means to take care of them, and they were ultimately cast out into the wild. Together, they will be forced to learn to survive in harmony. But survival does not come without hardship, and they will soon find that the wilds are not easy to tame. Two leaders, Bellamy and Clarke, have emerged from the exiled teenagers, who have pledged themselves to guiding the others into survival, building a new home, and protecting the pack.

played chelsey. biography. age: eighteen. gender: male. face claim: to be determined. infraction: disrupted a meeting in a violent manner in order to preach treasonous words regarding the unfair imprisonment of the other teenagers. sentence: two years. your father was an influential politician in district thirteen, but you're no chip off the old block. when you burst through the door, you had thought that perhaps your father would come to his senses and stand by you. in your hands, you held a crowbar that you had used to pry open the doors- but they saw you as an attacker when you had come in peace to preach the unfairness of the imprisonments. but you found yourself in a cell with traitor etched into your skin. your father cannot protect you here.

She sits squirming on a throne of broken hearts and misted ghosts. A lover stolen from her fingertips by the bleak midwinter winds, colour drained from her. Bodies detached, she is black and white. Love and hurt go hand in hand, love is pleasure, love's a treasure, love is danger. Weakness is no trait for her blackening heart; but death hangs heavy in her chest.

Still, she makes glass promises, extending her iron touch to those in need. Two extremes conjured into one, yet logic rules her waves. In her mind, she focuses on trying to decipher a way through the onslaught, only to get caught in the web of emptiness. Spurred on by her cynical nature, she strives for betterment.

short character description: An advocate for breaking the rules, he will do anything if it means protecting family. Most importantly, to protect his little sister. Crossing certain moral boundaries is not an issue. He should be called bishop the bold, because he will face danger instead of caving to the actions of submission and cowardice. If it means his certain death, so be it. In District 13 all he wanted was to protect his sister and show her what it meant to be free.

Freedom is everything.

He would commit a heinous crime - stealing fire arms and shooting a person of higher power in Thirteen - just to join her in the wilderness. Fuck Thirteen, they had nothing for him. He was at the bottom of the food chain but outside in the wild, there is opportunity. There is nobody to lash him for misbehavior, there is nobody trying to lock them within cells. Here, it is worth everything to survive, even if it's dangerous. Even if they could be arrested or killed at any moment for being wanderers.

short character description: The last thing Atlas wants to do with his first five minutes of freedom is think about the look in his mother's eyes before she - well, before that happened. Before the Dark Days. Before they took her away from him and Avia and everything went to shit. In a matter of speaking, everything is still pretty shit. Even though the sight of Avia twirling in front of him makes his heart clench in ways he forgot it could - in ways he forgot didn't hurt - his mother's eyes still have a glare almost as bright as the sun. It stings.

Still, he laughs with the rest of the vagabonds and criminals. By now, this kind of facade comes naturally. Their laughs and hoots vibrate through the forest, and Atlas marches among them, finally a giant among dwarfs. He's spent long enough serving others and playing a puppet in 13 to understand how this game works, and he feels like he has enough leverage to finally get him and Avia a place at the top of the totem pole. As she spins and laughs and skips through the evergreen maze that's now their home, he feels the weight of the world on his shoulders lift.

Even if only for a little bit.

He doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, so long as it's for the greater good - and, to him, the greater good will always be his sister. Eventually, that list grows, to his dismay. As he's learned, the more people you care about, the more you have to lose.)

short character description: He plays by the rules. Unless the rules don't work. Then he makes his own rules. Which is why he protested against the teenage imprisonments and the injustice of it all. Those rules most definitely didn't work. How could he even live with himself if he let that happen without trying to at least do something about it? His father should've known that, and should've told the others that. He should've persuaded the others. Instead, he gets exiled with the very people he was defending - and, if he's being completely honest to himself, they all don't seem to like him that much. Every dirty glance thrown his way and every not-so-subtle "Daddy's boy" hissed at him is just a constant reminder of how privileged a life he led while still living behind his district's walls. Even though the trees and greenery are so much more pleasing to look at than his cement cell, there's a tiny part of him that knows he'll miss it. Mercutio Roosevelt plays by the rules.

But, out here, there are no rules.
