Appearance:

Thyme's skin is a warm, light brown and her large, heavy-lidded eyes are murky brownish dark green. They can be striking in some lighting, but she never liked the color. She has a rather narrow, finely and elegantly defined face, with a narrow jaw and a slightly pointed chin. She has long, very dark brown hair, usually pulled back in a ponytail, making her face look even sharper and narrower. When she smiles her whole face brightens and softens, but often her plump lips are pursed in a worried frown.
She's thin and a little bit bony, and wishes she was stronger. She's athletic and isn't afraid of hard physical work, and has defined, wiry muscles in her thin arms. She isn't nearly as tall as she wishes she was, at around 5 feet 5 inches. She has long, thin fingers which are quick to curl into hard fists when someone insults or hurts her friends or family. She doesn't put much care into her own appearance anymore, but still has an eye for tasteful clothing, especially on other people. She usually wears simple, nice, comfortable and serviceable clothes. Rarely skirts or dresses.

Personality:

    Thyme is very kind and caring. She's usually not happy unless she knows that her friends and family are, and she'll do almost anything to make them happy. She is very opinionated and usually has a strong idea about what is best for everyone and a plan about how to reach her goals. Wanting the best for everyone, she often goes too far trying to help them. She can be controlling and bossy and micromanaging and nosy, but her intentions are good and selfless. She is very protective and will threaten to fight people if she thinks her friends need defending.
    She can be outspoken and loud, but rarely about herself. She prefers not to think about herself and her own problems almost having blocks in her mind around her own issues, and would much rather worry about her friends. It has gotten to the point where she isn't good at sorting through her own emotions and wishes, but pretty good at guessing those of others.
    She's very friendly and open and honest and sometimes blunt. She can be judgmental. She's also very confrontational, except about her own problems.
When she feels that something is wrong or going to go wrong, which is often, she tends to worry about it. Especially when she doesn't know what she can do to fix it, and especially if it concerns her friends or family. She feels like it's her responsibility to make things work out and that she sort of owes her friends and family for accepting her and putting up with her. It makes her anxious and upset when she can't fix things or when someone is unhappy, and when she feels that she isn't being up to her own standards. Also when she feels like she has no control.
    Her standards for herself are very very high. She needs to do well in school, she needs to be strong and fit, she needs to make sure her friends are okay, she needs to make sure that no one is disrespecting her or her friends, etc.

History:

Thyme felt a little bit lonely as a young child before she met her best friend Jasmine Link, and felt that she only got attention when she was especially helpful or impressive. This led to her subconsciously feeling that if she isn't up to her standards, she might somehow lose her friends and family or be ignored by them. That's part of the reason she gets so anxious.
Thyme is rebellious, and has come close to getting in trouble with the Peacekeepers several times.She hates the Hunger Games intensely, and is starting to really hate the Capitol. She has a hard time remembering to stay quiet about this, lest she get in trouble.
She's always enjoyed hanging out with Jasmine, who has always impressed her with her quiet kindness. She would like to be closer to her parents, Joy and Jonathan Bluebell, and she's very helpful to them, doing errands and growing vegetables in her very small, scraggly garden behind their house.
Especially when she was young, she would often be found getting into fights with the neighbor boys and coming home dusty and dirty and sometimes bruised, but happy. Before she started school, she often spent a lot of time away from home on her own, walking and exploring and collecting rocks or picking any rare flower she could find. She came home dirty, tired, and happy very often.

Other: Thyme has a fear of wild animals that she's very embarrassed about because she wants to seem tough and be respected.
