Every hit I get is another ounce of respect wiped away from me. I am a humiliation in this centre, a useless, worthless streak of piss. It’s no wonder that my father is more or less disowning me and focusing on my sister. I wish I was like her. I wish I had her skills and spirit, I wish I could stand up to my father like she does. Everything that Genoa is, is just the complete opposite to me. Really I was born in the wrong District. I need more of a peaceful life, like in Ten or Eleven. The ruthlessness that comes with being a career is nothing like me.

Attempting the block the punches thrown at me, it is no use; the opponent that I am up against is too good, even though he is so much younger. Defence is not my strongest suit; I am more of a weapon throwing guy. Hand to hand combat is out of the equation for me but I must practice, I have to keep my father happy. For if he is happy, I am happy. Thankfully he is unable to see me now, getting my ass wiped by a fifteen year old.

Eyes surround the mat that we’re practicing on; I can hear the whispers and giggles of people insulting my efforts. Finally, I raise the white flag; I can’t go on like this. Surrendering to the fight, my opponent smirks, taking in all the glory from his win. Sitting on the side-lines of the mat, I’d pour a bottle of liquid over my head. As it hits my face, it sends the most refreshing feeling through my body. Sitting against the wall, I’d ponder on my disaster of a performance….

It was a long day of work for the District Two male, standing there and waiting for his class to file in and even then his students of that day were rowdy. They all were too busy talking and socializing, taking the station for granted and thinking that since it was just self-defense they wouldn't have to learn much. That they just imagined the thought of using their legs and kicking whenever someone tried to attack them. That wasn't what it was all about, however the male of District Two was too afraid to raise his voice to tell them to listen up. So he just stood there for a good thirty minutes, half of the time the class would last and he waited for them to pay attention.

And eventually, they did. There was only fifteen minutes left, so he went through the regular routines that they had to do. Though this wouldn't work. The male would become bored with the work, like normal and when his students didn't listen he found it useless to even have the job. What use did he have if the people in the class didn't even learn anything. He had been waiting for a while after the class had ended, head in hand and pondering his actual use of being there in the center.

Conner decided that finding himself going on a walk normally cured his worries, so that's what he did. Walking, he found himself resting his eyes on a boy. Dumping water on his face to refresh him and then leaning against the wall, he looks pretty upset. The male decides to speak to him, however not knowing the other by name.

"Hey," He greets him after walking on over to the male's spot. Conner decides one thing for sure,
he looks pretty broken.
