Agnes Amelia Bluth
Seventeen ◆ Female ◆ Straight ◆ District 4
APPEARANCE:
Agnes has pale skin, though can sometimes have a bit of color (both blushed and tan) from the sun if she has helped out the family on the boat, recently. A sprinkle of freckles adorns her face on and around her nose – which is small and slightly upturned – and on her forehead. She has a heart-shaped head and round-ish almond eyes in a hazel color.

Her hair is light golden brown, long and thick. It reaches the middle of her back, has a slight curl to it and (a bit too much) volume. It is usually pulled away from her face as it is otherwise not very practical – either in a lazy bun or braid, to avoid bushy-ness. Her eyebrows are somewhat shaped, though not maintained to perfection.
Agnes is of average height, if not a bit smaller (about 166 cm or 5’5) and of average built as well with a dust of freckles down her arms and shoulders. Though nothing to necessarily brag about (especially compared to her fisherman mother and father) she has strong arms as a result of working on the boat – she’d be able to carry and hold on to more than average weight for someone her size, but not too much more.
The clothes that Agnes usually wears are mostly limited to dresses at about knee-length (some a bit shorter, some a bit longer). As with most of the clothing, the dresses are typically a bit old-fashioned – think 1940’s. Otherwise a button-down with a skirt or loose pants will do.
Being either on the boat or on shore, Agnes has learned to work with her hands. Besides getting some strong arms, she’s also quite fix with knots and such. Though sowing is not quite the same, she has some skill with that as well.
PERSONALITY:
Agnes is a nice girl. Being the eldest of three (and with the younger ones being boys as well), she has taken on a bit of a motherly role in the family. With their parents working hard and long (and loving every moment!), the kids have spent a lot of time together and Agnes have had a strong impact on the boys’ upbringing – especially with her youngest brother, Bryce. This has made her a calm and understanding young woman, though maybe a bit mischievous as well.

An optimistic realist, Agnes is a smart girl. She sees the world without sugarcoating it, but will try to see a possible happy outcome while still being somewhat realistic. She is a person who wants to believe in the best in people, but also realizes that some people just aren’t that nice.
Everyone thinks about the Hunger Games (even people like Agnes, who tries not to). Though she wants to believe that she could never kill anyone, realistically, Agnes sees a possibility if put in that situation. Anything to get back to her family and brothers again, though she’d prefer not to. She would depend very much on alliances – not as much for protection, as for surviving mentally. The bigger group the better, though some might fear she’d become too trusting too quickly because, honestly? The Games changes everyone and being on edge all the time would make Agnes’ judge of character weaker than usual.
She has a nice singing voice, though nothing extraordinary.
HISTORY:
Agnes grew up in a nice house with her family, just making the cut from middleclass to upper class. Her parents work by the harbor as fishermen and enjoy their jobs greatly. Agnes herself – along with her two younger brothers, Bryce and Thomas – have joined her parents on the boats every so often when not in school and knows the sea.

Their parents working hard and sharing a good job, the family has managed to live a comfortable life. Never going to bed hungry and every once in a while being able to afford to splurge a bit.
The Bluth-family also have a nice relationship. Though some might argue that the parents are gone a bit too often, the children love them to death, anyways, and they all share a strong family bond. Especially the three children are incredibly tight, Agnes being a responsible – yet fun – big sister.

All in all, Agnes has had a nice and quiet life, and are growing into a responsible girl with an incredible amount of love for her family.
