Appearance:
Cyra has a very pretty face-- full cupid's bow lips that get very dry and chapped easily, long lashes, and almond-shaped brown eyes. Her skin is very dark, almost black-- like her hair, which is very thick and curly. she keeps her otherwise wild hair in a short pixie cut that goes along very well with her round face. Her grin is quick and friendly, and her smiles are always genuine.
She looks young for her age-- standing at 4'9 (she's a little self-conscious of her height, thinking that she might be a little too short) and weighing about 100 pounds. Cyra wears whatever is most convenient and comfortable, whether it be a warm black jacket and ripped jeans, or a bright orange tank top and mini skirt. She's a bit versatile in the way she changes her appearance to fit her needs.
Personality:
Cyra is a little open-minded. If you give her a reasonable argument for something she has a lot of passion for, she won't stubbornly disagree with you. She is very opinionated and sometimes states her opinions like they are facts. She is willing to fight verbally or physically to prove or defend a point. That said, when someone disagrees with her it's usually about something very important to them.
Just as she is willing to fight for her beliefs, she is equally willing to fight to defend a friend. In this way, she can be a little impulsive. She thinks over facts reasonably if they aren't personal, but the minute someone close to her is involved her judgement becomes clouded and subjective. If a friend is challenged in any way she will react quickly without thinking-- this has proven to be lifesaving in some situations, but unhelpful in others. Her friends love her for that strong sense of loyalty she has for them.
Cyra is very charismatic, a lover of knowledge. Anything she doesn't know or understand intrigues her. She tends to go out of her way to learn interesting, but utterly useless facts-- and sometimes facts that are none of her business. Fortunately, Cyra doesn't have a big mouth and only shares out knowledge on a need-to-know basis. She can be a little manipulative if she thinks that her goal in question is worthy of 'working outside the box' as she calls it. Fortunately, her goals are usually worthy of a little manipulation-- but woe the day she decides you're worth sacrificing for some greater good.
History:
Cyra grew up by the ocean with two older brothers-- Rudy and Toby. She's very fond of Toby-- though he does tell on her a lot when she sneaks out and then lectures her on the dangers of walking alone at night in district four. She gets along better with Rudy, who has actually helped her out with some of her schemes. She often plays peacekeeper when Toby and Rudy fight, or judge for them when they ask her to settle a disagreement. (they both have very high regards for her opinions)
Her parents fight a lot as well, mostly about silly, frivolous things. Cyra is very curious about what caused the tension between her parents but has yet to discover what it was. Mr. and Mrs. Russo try to be aware of their children's happiness and decided, secretly, to divorce only after the kids had all grown up. Of course, Cyra knows all about these plans to separate once she moves out and doesn't really find it surprising.
Cyra complains a lot about how boring her life is. She lives a pleasant life by the side of the ocean but wishes that there was more to her life than high school, fishing, and keeping the peace in her family. In an attempt to give her life a bit more zing, Cyra goes out of her way to get into trouble (she considers trouble a synonym for adventure). This has gotten her branded as the mischevious Russo, but it has also gotten her a tiny ginger kitten she brings with her everywhere named Mucca.
