Marcasite 'Marc' Obsidian
Male |Sixteen Twenty-Seven | Heterosexual
Marc looks almost nothing like his brother did. His hair is dark, as are his eyes, which are like shadows. His face is round with well defined features. If one were to see Marc for the first time, they would likely think that he looked a bit out of place compared to his parents. His parents are of a much lighter complexion and have blonde hair like his brother did.Male |
With a strong build Marc looks a bit more threatening than his little brother did. He has a wide stance and walks confidently. His body is heavily scarred from all of the training he has done since his brother died, as it was his way of relieving stress. With a slightly tanned skin tone, Marc looks rather attractive to some people, as it compliments the rest of his appearance nicely. He dresses somewhat more casually than his brother, meaning he isn't majorly into wearing collared shirts and nicer looking clothes.
Revenge is something that Marc is determined to have. With a hatred for District Ten after one of their tributes killed his brother, Marc wants to do whatever he can to stop them from winning the games and bringing pride to their district. Kindness is something that seems to have faded from the young boy's personality. He no longer is the respectful young boy he used to be. Now, he is someone with a rather harsh personality.
Marc may snip at people and give a bit of attitude when he's irritated. Fighting is something he does more verbally than physically, however. He used to have a lot of friends before he changed how he was, though. Now, his group of friends is rather limited. This bothers Marc quite a bit.
There isn't much that Marc does in his free time. He used to find a lot more things entertaining than he does now. Ever since his brother died, though, Marc has become more shut away from the world. Some of his current hobbies are things that can be done on his own. Some of the things he does are read and draw.
When Marc's brother, Andesite Obsidian, was chosen for the Hunger Games, the boys weren't even living in the same household. Marcasite had known who Andy was, and that he was shipped off to live with a man named Flynn, who was supposedly supposed to protect him from the Games. Marc had lived with his parents when Andy was sent to live elsewhere. As a result, Andy didn't know his own parents, or that he even had a brother. This meant that Marc had to watch in terror as his brother who didn't even know he existed, died. At this point in his life, Marc has determined that he would volunteer for the Games if he ever got the chance, wanting to avenge his brother's death that the Capitol caused.
Marc was furious when he first found out that his parents gave up his brother. He was about ten years old when he first found out that he used to have a brother. He remembers now watching the games in terror, somewhat wishing he never knew he had a brother. At times, he wished he never had a brother at all. Had that been the case, he never would have had to watch him die.
It's impossible to say how many people Marc has watched die in the games and not cared about. There's only ever been one death that bothered him, and that was Andy's. Now, living with his parents, Marc grieves with them. He's no longer scared of being in the games like he used to be. Now, he wants to go in. He wants to fight and he wants revenge.
