AND IT BURNS BEYOND THE GRAVE
Oh Lazarus, how did your debts get paid?
There's a very distinct image of Peacekeepers amongst members of the Districts, and the Capitol. Cold soldiers in white shells like chess pieces, their brutality driven by sheer sadist blood-thirst rather than by the grudges or vengeances that common people - normal people - hold.
However, deep in the dust clouds that roar around the Capitol, a top-secret Peacekeeper division continues to defy every stigma and every expectation that's been thrust upon them. This particular breed of Peacekeepers are less like chess castles and more like knights. Their armour is self-customised for their weapons of choice, their collective acts less like a unit and more like a brotherhood, and they (almost) never capture and kill for the joy of killing - they do it for reward.
Every criminal they seek out is a Public Enemy, a target sent to them specifically straight from the Mayors of Panem or the Capitol Headquarters, along with some material benefit or reward. These bounties do not come regularly - and the whole unit are not always needed to seek them out, and so each of the Peacekeepers belongs to some other area of the force as well. However, when they come together to hunt their bounties, a brotherhood united for one and for all, they are undeniably a force to be reckoned with. Those criminals don't know what's hit them.
When the fires have surrounded you, and the hounds of hell are coming after you, you've got blood on your name.

THE HUNTERS
GILEAD | name: gilead locke age: fifty two interim profession: bodyguard weapon of choice: revolvers bio face claim: johnny depp played by: onyx [pm: bitteronyx] For Gilead, becoming a bounty hunter was only the final rung on the long ladder of his destiny. He lived out his young childhood in a dustbowl Capitol community away from the City itself, but he and his family were driven out when the rest of the community became jealous of the righteous and do-gooding ways of his father, a trainee Peacekeeper. The father and son fled to the City, where Gilead followed in his elder's footsteps and began his basic training. After several years, he was selected for an elite training programme by the notable Peacekeeper Marshall Stone, whose speciality was "gunslinging", fighting specifically with revolving pistols. However, on graduating from his class, Gilead found out his father had been kidnapped - perhaps murdered - by the very people who drove them out of their home in the first place. Gilead decided to use his skills as a Gunslinger to become the first Peacekeeper bounty hunter so that he could justify hunting these people down in an act of revenge as executing Public Enemies in the name of the Law - and seek out other undesirables at the same time. He brought together his band of Bounty Hunters and acts as their leader - and only a few of them know about his true cold-blooded intent. |
MARY | name: mary delgado belladonna age: forty nine interim profession: assassin weapon of choice: revolvers, daggers bio face claim: helena bonham carter played by: griffin [pm: griffinbirdie54] She had always been a girl born from a family of debts. The other capitol citizens considered their family extraordinary but not in an admirable nature. Her family lived a rough life, flooded with debts and borrowed money from the Capitol. Although the checklist proceeded to grow, they never stopped loaning coins, only to wear gem encrusted clothes and feast on ambrosial meals every day. However, everything will be put into an end someday. The Capitol could no longer tolerate the idiotic excuses of her family and gave them a deadline to pay for the loans. But, the real twisted thing was that she had no knowledge of her mother's loans. And, instead of returning coins, her own mother sent her instead as an offering to the Capitol and the government decided to turn her into a peacekeeper. This act of cruelty of her parents had rusted the gears inside her head and broke her functions, tearing her sanity till only a slight portion of it remained. Mary now works as a peacekeeper and travels among various districts, tracking down the outlaws and ending them out of their—miserable lives as she likes to call. She had always been a gone girl to the public and a well-known hunter to the wrongdoers. Now, Mary and Gilead are best friends. |
TARON | name: taron mannix age: twenty five interim profession: patrol officer weapon of choice: daggers bio pending face claim: michel huisman played by: frankel [pm: frankel] Being a bounty hunter wasn't exactly what Taron had in mind for his future; his guardian certainly didn't have that idea either. Strung up to be the typical career fighting, District One representative of the Hunger Games, there was just one destiny that was placed in front of him. Plucked out of his mother's arms and thrown into the training centre, Taron was reared like cattle and moulded into the perfect career. He lived in a home dedicated to grooming children to volunteer for betting purposes. Taron was stuck on the boy’s floor; he hadn't much to look at until he snuck downstairs to the girl’s. That's when he found out 'love at first sight' was indeed true. Falling for a girl named Violet, he spent the remainder of his teenage life fighting for Violet's love but Taron had a competitor to fight for her hand, in the form of Jared Maddocks. For years the boys clashed and in romance they would meet. When a child turned 19 in the house, they would be tossed out like waste as they were deemed useless and that time came for Taron. Promising Violet, who was a year younger than him that he'd find a way to put a ring on her finger, he sought out for a new life. Stuck in a dead end job for a short amount of years, he knew he wouldn't win over his girl as Jared went back into the centre as a trainer. The life of a peacekeeper caught Taron’s eye. Taron was noted as 'Using his mouth too much and needs to learn respect,' in his class but he somehow graduated from the peacekeeper academy. Soon after graduation he was posted back home in District One. He’d later find out Jared had in fact taken Violet's hand despite knowing that as soon as he put on the white armour, he’d be unable to seek out those in his past although he felt sick that she had accepted Jared. One day, another pack of peacekeepers found Violet beaten and bloodied to her last breath, Jared on the other hand was missing. Taron sought out a way to revenge his sweetheart's death as he was adamant that Jared was the cause. An ordinary day would grant him the power the power to do so. Interrupted by a supposed criminal while questioning a shopkeeper, Taron threw his baton towards the guy, knocking him clean out. The man was being tracked down by a supposed bounty hunting peacekeeper who thanked Taron for his assistance. The man put his name forwards to Gilead Locke, the supposed leader of a secret band of Bounty Hunters. He was accepted but his ‘punk-ass’ attitude could put his place amongst the hunters in danger as he seeks revenge for his sweetheart. |

THE BOUNTY
name: keyser summit age: thirty three location: capitol outskirts wanted for: multiple counts of theft, multiple counts of trespassing, association with known smuggler cydonia skye bio face claim: andrew scott played by: frankel [pm: frankel] Keyser Summit just like most other wanderers on the run. He fled from his home ten years ago, hating the lifestyle his large family in District Seven had forced him to endure. Having his wits about him, Keyser has coped so far in the wilderness. Thieving resources from various Districts, Keyser is also known for trespassing on lands to obtain these items. Various times in the past, he has been able to slip through the peacekeepers' grip and it is about time he gets caught. Being a hot head, Keyser can occasionally lose his temper which may put him in either a state of weakness or strength, depending on the levels of temperament. Currently Keyser is traveling with Cydonia Skye, who are both planning on conducting a great raid on the Capitol. | KEYSER |
name: cydonia skye age: twenty six location: capitol outskirts wanted for: multiple counts of theft, multiple counts of smuggling, suspected terrorism and conspiracy bio face claim: lady gaga played by: onyx [pm: bitteronyx] Cydonia can neither remember who she was before she was a wanderer, nor under which circumstances she became one. Her skills are in smuggling medical and cosmetic supplies out of the Capitol and District Six, and into the Distrricts that need them most. She has been caught once before, and was punished by having her two little fingers cut off her hands. This doesn't stop her, however, and Cydonia continues to act as a rebel hero, or guardian angel for those who pray for one. One weakness of Cydonia's is how prone she is to entering a fugue state, either sleepwalking or daydreaming away from her camp and supplies and into a more dangerous part of the open forest. At the present time, she and her new companion Keyser Summit are on their way to the Capitol to make one of their biggest raids to date. It could get explode-y, and more than a little messy. | CYDONIA |
name: rider age: twenty five location: last seen near district eleven wanted for: armed assault of capitol authorities, treason against panem, theft of capitol resources, association with known traitor maslow ibex bio face claim: alex prange played by: tom [pm: hetaliachina] Born beyond the fence and out of the districts, Rider started his life. Raised by a group that included his parents, called the Thieves of Spite, he learned ways of living off the land. The group trained him in thievery and even some other skills, such as hand to hand, and how to make weapons from little to nothing. The group had many people from many districts that had fled from the capitol's manipulative and unfair treatment. Once Rider was old enough, he went on one mission with a guy (to be named later), but failed, leading to the man's capture and somehow Rider escaped. After returning to the group, he was shunned for leaving a man behind. The group eventually was caught and all sentenced to either death or servitude in the capitol. Rider only armed with a few knives and a bow and some arrows, lives out in the woods. Sneaking into districts, stealing resources and giving to the needy people of the district, under the capitol's nose. Adored by many, Hated by many, people either praise or slander his name. Rider travels across the woods, seeking out to help people. According to reports, he's armed, dangerous, and must be captured. Last seen on the outskirts of District Eleven with his trusty bow, injuring a peacekeeper after escaping with some fruits. | RIDER |
name: maslow ibex age: nineteen location: last seen near district eleven wanted for: several counts murder, treason, association with known traitor rider bio face claim: florentin glemarec played by: flyss [pm: gyrodyze] May it be his weath and sheltered upbringing, or the fact that he's fully blind, Maslow Tiresias Ibex found it impossible to see the unfairness and imbalance of a world cherished by many. Having grown up as the best friend of a peacekeeper's illegitimate son (for whose parents no longer associate) this meant everything to the young Ibex- the world, and justice, and fairness- and whenever the kids at school would pester him tirelessly about his lack of vision and lack of "fun", he made sure to let them know exactly how much sight he really had. Of course, that was until he graduated school. Maslow saw no boundaries (for he truly saw nothing) and even though there stood what seemed to be 'an obvious advantage' between him and the boy who challenged all he knew, Maslow would back down for nothing- not even the threat of sticky, wet marooon staining his blazer. After teaching his aggressor a lesson (to which he figured was a simple k.o.) and ultimately ending his life, Maslow felt stronger than before. Being blind doesn't mean being weak, right? (he had heightened echolocation to thank for this) and with all, he began to rebel against his parents. After his safety was no longer apparent in the district that was 4, Maslow felt the need to flee; two more had died at his hands the night before, and he knew that this crisis wouldn't be as silent as the others (no one dare tell on him for the boy at school, out of fear that it would happen to them, too.) Two years passed and in that time, the now-disowned-but-actively-searched-for Ibex child wandered meticulously throughout the districts, stealing what was necessary to survive and taking what wasn't. Independence and lack of restraint overtook a boy once poised, and it felt good; oh did it feel good. Eventually, though, he found himself in district 11, eye-to-eye (or eye-to-ear) with a man as dastardly as he. Freedom meets anarchy, and a movement is born. | MASLOW |
name: alyria hammersmith age: twenty two location: district two wanted for: mass murder and counts of terrorism bio face claim: elodie yung played by: ali [pm: jjbb22] Alyria has always been slightly psycopathic. She was an only child, raised with a silver spoon in her mouth and a pair of knives in her hands and was training to become a career however after she put one of her peers in the hospital for 8 months, Alyria was banned from the training centre and considered too dangerous to become a peacekeeper. With all options exhausted, she became a socialite, entertaing for fun but soon she began to grow bored of the mundane, and wanted to feel the blood between her fingers. At first, the murders went seemingly un-noticed because the victims where no one of worthy, but that was just her warm up. Next thing the officials in 2 knew, was that Alyria was hunting down and killing careers, their trainers, then soon among the mix, trainee Peacekeepers; she's climbing the ranks and she's headed straight for the top. | ALYRIA |
