Name: Chloriphina Sills
Age: 17
Gender: female
District/Area: district 4
Appearance:
When Chloriphina looks closely into a mirror, with her big round eyes like green concrete, she sees many things. Her light strawberry blonde hair is the first thing she notices. Then she sees her oval shaped face and wide forehead followed by a rounded chin. She sees her somewhat full lips turned in a slight smile, which would maybe be charming if not for her incredibly yellow teeth. And she sees her thin, and arched eyebrows, as though she's permanently smirking. These features are outlined by a heavy concentration of freckles sprinkled along the middle of her face and the top of her medium sized, triangle-shaped nose.
When Chloriphina steps back she can see the full extent of her body being reflected back. Although she has never really disliked her body, she's always thought of herself as a rather average looking person. For one thing, her height is rather insignificant at five feet and 2 inches. In addition to this, she has a weight of 110 pounds, a weight that is neither skinny or fat, so no one ever comments on it. What people do comment on however, is her ability to be fast on her feet. Being from The fishing district one would think that she would be a decent swimmer; this however would be incorrect. Chloriphina is quite possibly the worst swimmer ever to be born in the district. She also is probably the weakest when it comes to everything physical. Well, almost everything. This girl can run like a panther. The only boys she's ever wooed were wooed by her epic speed.
Personality:
Although she has wooed some boys with her speed, these boys don't generally stay with her due to her rather overwhelming personality. All of Chloriphina's life, (or Lori as her parents call her) her only motivation has been puns. In fact, Every chance that Lori has to make a pun, she makes a pun. Sometimes she accomplishes things purely for the sake of being able to make a pun about it. For example, the only reason why she started running was so she could tell joggers, "not to sweat it". This is where she gets her running prowess.
Although her puns and speed are righteous, she thinks that she is the lead character of life and therefore tends to be overly dramatic about everything. This generally will get her in trouble with anyone who doesn't have illusions of grandeur. The dramatized nature of her life is often enhanced by her many, many puns because, she believes that not only is she a protagonist but a witty protagonist. The problem with this is that she is not even that witty. Her only sort of witty response is the punning kind and most people aren't even into that.
But this doesn't necessarily mean that Lori is horribly self centered and awful. Sometimes her puns are actually good. Like the time she started calling herself the punning runner. And the running punner. The punner who runs. The runner who puns. The one who runs and puns. Another thing about Lori is that she's as good at nicknames and wordplay as she is with running and puns. This is useful when trying to scare off an aggressor because sometimes,if she comes up with a creative enough insult, they'll laugh long enough that she can escape with her mega sprinting skills.
History:
Chloriphina Sills was born to a somewhat wealthy family . This is not to say that she is from the richest family in the district or anything like that, but they're certainty not limited financially either. This means that, as an only child, Lori has always been a bit spoiled. Her parents were also never really that big on punishment. Of course, they did teach her right from wrong, not to murder people without good reason, stay in school, respect the Capitol authorities, things like that. She's not a complete hooligan. But her parents never punished her when she did wrong, they gave her gifts for doing right. This in turn means that Lori went through most of her childhood never really experiencing any kind of retaliation.
When She was 6 years old, her mother gave her a book of jokes, which soon became her most prized possession. Reading through the cheesy and horrible word play and failed attempts at humor, comforted her whenever she was having a bad day or hard time. She would often have to read through the book when the other children would mock her for being such a horrible swimmer. And this is how she picked up her talent for punning.
Being 17, Lori has been training for 5 years. One would think, having been training for so long, that she would be good at more than just running. But even though she trains everyday, she never actually does most of the things that training would entail. She's always too busy making puns. And unlike running, she has no natural affinity for any other skills. Because of her pride, she doesn't notice this but her parents do. They want her to be prepared if she's reaped. She refuses to do anything differently though because, she thinks that she wouldn't really mind dying in the hunger games as long as she got to use her lifetime supply of puns before she died.
