Appearance:

Aegil is a short and stocky sixteen year old, who spends most of his time in his father's blacksmithing shop. Thus, what is supposed to be pale skin is usually covered in soot. He doesn't like being dirty so much, but since Mr. Silvenn practically demanded his assistance in the shop, Aegil's been practically working on his knees. As in such, Aegil is muscular and lean from carrying heavy stuff. His short height comes from his mother's side of the family, though his somewhat adrogynous body type is inherited from his father.

With inky black hair that looks more like spiky shadows, it hangs down the side of his face and barely brushes against the bottom of his neck. It's usually pulled back into some kind of ponytail or braid. It frames a heart-shaped face that gives him the appearance that he's younger than he really is. Friendly light blue eyes are tilted upwards slightly, while his lips are mildly tugged downwards. His arching eyebrows make Aegil look like he's permanently surprised.

Since he's in District Two, his mother- somewhat of a tattoo artist- inked a lovely pale green tricentric celtic knot on his right shoulder when he was thirteen. Though he's pretty strong from lifting heavy objects in the shop, Aegil isn't all that fast. His strength and small size enable him to scurry up trees like a squirrel, while his slow speed lets others gain on him and tackle him to the ground.

Though in District Two, Aegil prefers to wear simple clothes. A pair of soft black, baggy pants clothe his legs, while a shirt styled with cut off sleeves and a small v cut is clad on his torso. The only thing expensive about his simple outfit are his combat boots that go over a few inches of the hem of his pants.

Personality:

Despite growing up in a wealthy household and district, Aegil grew up pretty sheltered. His parents didn't let him out to play with the other kids much, and instead gave him books to shut him up when he wanted to do something entertaining. After being inside for so long, Aegil grew to be shy around other people his age. He got along better with adults than those his own age, as he could relate to them more. Eventually, Aegil got to the point where he outright ignored others his age except for the few people that remained stubbornly beside his side.

Incredibly loyal to the bone, Aegil is sarcastic and witty. He has a tendency to make rude remarks to people in his head, and often uses masks so people don't see his true self. Despite his sarcasm and quiet ways, Aegil's steadfast loyalty to those he views as family is one of his redeeming qualities. Despite being so loyal, Aegil doesn't trust easily. He tends to view the world in shades of gray, using gritty realism to gather his opinions on many different topics.

With his caustic tongue, Aegil is both painfully honest and extremely blunt. He likes getting straight to the point, instead of trying to soothe hurt feelings. It's not to say there's not a good side to him! Pretty much so far, it's been looking like he's an anti-social guy who is extremely sarcastic. His fierce loyalty was mentioned, as well as his honest ways. Due to being raised as an only child, Aegil is almost painfully curious about the world around him. He aspires to study the earth beneath him and go into history, though he hides this passion by throwing himself into the heavy work around the work shop. Aegil is also a hard-worker, and can be incredibly dedicated to the job in front of him. Even with his anti-social ways, Aegil offers help whenever he sees that someone needs it.

With his pretty absent social life, Aegil often feels lonely. His disconnection with kids his age often makes him feels lost and honestly confused. With this, he tries to bury his head in fictional books that involve fantastical worlds and dragons.

History:

Born during the 58th Hunger Games, Aegil's family usually celebrates his birthday every September 19th. He was technically born that day, so it makes sense. Mrs. Silvenn's (Garnet) pregnancy with Aegil was difficult, and as a result, Aegil was born early. Not to mention she was likely to not be able to have any more kids after Aegil. For the first few years, the Silvenn family didn't have much to their name except an empty shop willed to Mr. Silvenn (Ryker) from his father.

Then they thought to clean up the shop and start a family business dealing with blacksmithing. Ryker had a lot of experience dealing with building weapons when he was small, so he started to forge weapons. Aegil's mother Garnet was somewhat of an artist, and she didn't really do anything except be a housewife for the Silvenn's until Aegil's sixth birthday. Then she decided to take up a part-time job as a tattoo artist in the district.

The many customers that came through the Silvenns' blacksmithing business earned them a significant portion of wealth. From the moment he could walk, Aegil was helping his father around the shop. At first, Aegil just carried around the (much) lighter portions and assisted his mother with sales and deliveries. As he grew up, Aegil's work became more towards making weapons. He took an open curiosity in making weapons.

Eventually, Aegil became restless. He wanted to go out and play with the other kids. However, he felt like it wouldn't be worth it. And so he started sticking his head in books. They weren't much, but he devoured every book in sight. Whether it was a text book or a fantasy novel, he read them with a striking intensity. His frequent curiosity made Aegil feel like he was looking through the world at a naive light. From the age ten, he was rejected at a hand of friendship by a boy who already had a fairly close friend. Though he didn't want a close friend, Aegil was hurt.

And so he withdrew from social situations almost completely. Eventually, up to his sixteenth birthday, there would be a person who would stubbornly stick to his side and be a friend. By the time he turned sixteen, he had five extremely close friends that he would do anything for. They're family to Aegil.
