Writing Thinks Hears Says
It had came and gone within seconds. The tsunami that terrorized District Four. Something he never truly experienced, as their place that they called home survived, unlike the rest of the people. Davitt had worried about his siblings and cousins dearly, but everyone had survived. Life for the Vespoli's went on like it always did. Grow Cannabis, sleep, eat, sell cannabis, repeat. Day after day of loneliness. His other triplets continue their relationship and all he can do is avoid it with the glare in his eyes. Hudson was always watching out of the corner of his eye, Davitt had figured that out moments before he begun to ignore his other half. The oldest Vespoli had disappeared into his own hole of a bed. Sleep for the boy who had been up all night, frantically selling cannabis to the people in District Four. That's what his plan was to start with, but sometimes the world flips plans upside down.
Hudson slams the door shut as he enters the room. The words that fall from his lips don't comprehend in Davitt's own ears. All he does is nod and smile like his mind forces him to do. Soon enough, hands pick clothes out for him to wear. As the outfit is picked, the door closes. Just like his heart closes it's walls to anyone and everyone. A lonely man with a lonely life, yet he was surrounded by life everywhere he went. Sibling, cousins, family, strangers, and the bustling district of Four. And yet, he stands in the streets, travelling to the party that Hudson had told him to go to. The cold breeze of ocean salt and water whips across his hair. A blank face as the thoughts of his family and everyone he knew came forward. Hudson was safe, just like the rest of them, but still his heart crushed inward on itself. The feelings of wanting to be a part of the triplets. Nothing could tear him away from his family, but he was drifting like the wood that stands upon the glistening water. Everything he was had been falling short, just like he had been with their expectations.
Money was abundant, but happiness wasn't. Money could only buy so much, happiness wasn't something that it could buy. The night's air was chilling him to the bone as he walked toward the place that a party was being held, something his brother had told him he needed to go to. Friends weren't abundant in his life. Davitt had always been alone, no one else he can trust, but his family. Everyone else wanted something more from him that he couldn't give. He worked on being someone he wanted to be, but that pushed others away. Davitt Vespoli was all by his lonesome self again. Just like he would be at the party. Alone, in a corner, sulking in his own loneliness. People avoid his eyes with every second. Dancing teens in the room and all he could do was look at people with a questioning gaze. A man who stands in the corner, watching the life around him continue living, and yet he felt dead inside. Love was real, but love was also dead. No one cared about him, all he knew was work and his own self hatred. Davitt would fade into the background, avoiding the life as he did every time.
