I was never particularly close to the rest of my family. I was always the disengaged from the action. While my cousins played, I would stand behind closed doors, watching from the inside looking out. I was never the one who would enjoy walking up to someone and ask to play or to hang out. I was always the one who would sit in the back, out of sight, carefully reading a book to ignore the noise emanating from those near me. I let myself sink into the fantasy world as my brown eyes fix themselves onto the book, my long brown hair draped around my shoulders like a shawl protecting me from the dangers of the real world. I wish I could just stay in my fantasy lands forever, not paying attention to anything else and just let the world move on around me. Even when Lily and Paige were sucked away from us, I barely noticed, too transfixed on what was happening in front of me. I shed a tear, but tears wouldn't help much especially when there was a simple solution to it all, just travel away to a whole new world where no one else could bother you besides yourself.
