(Rachelle Lefevre)
Adelaide has auburn, almost honey-colored hair. It is very wavy, seeming to form ribbon – like locks that cascade from her scalp. Fairly long, it does not end until near her elbow. Most of the time, one sees her with leaves and sticks tangled in her hair. She loves the color black, and isn’t often found wearing anything else. Elbow-length, black gloves that bare her fingers are her signature trademark; although she may change her basic black outfit, she almost never takes off her gloves unless she must wash them. Also, she possesses a white, furry shawl-type item that covers her shoulders during the cold and is swung over one shoulder otherwise. Her body is well-built, and she can do most work that any man can do. Although she is most handy with her hands and feet, she can easily shoot someone with a bow or knife someone from afar.
Adelaide’s disposition is interesting – she is described as having her heart in the right place, but at the same time she has a strange way in going about making good things happen. An example of this is how she ran away from home to join the Wanderers, rather than being of help to her parents and changing things within her own district. Adelaide possesses a natural charisma; she does not do anything, but people automatically feel at ease around her, and many love to simply sit in her presence. Because of this, she has no trouble making friends, which sometimes can be hard within the Wanderer world. She is a dreamer; she loves to think of ideas that would improve the gang or change the world. However, the problem with this is that she likes dreaming more than she actually likes carrying through. Carrying through falls to other people rather than to her. Despite this, most like her ideas and automatically listen to her. A natural leader, Adelaide knows when to act certain ways and when not to; however, she can be extremely aggressive (a fault to her leadership) and does not like to take responsibilities for her own actions. If she could, she would blame the world and not herself. For some reason, she does not mind killing, and could easily become a contender in the Hunger Games were she a member of a district. It is almost as if killing is a mechanical thing for her – she does not like it, and she does not dislike it. Quite simply, it is neutral territory.History:
Born into District Eight, Adelaide lived a happy life with her parents. She was popular and liked among the youth, and most adults looked at her with admiration for her spirit. When she was ten, her mother presented her with a wool, sheepskin shawl that is still with her today. Back then, it reached nearly to her knees. It was a happy life, and Adelaide would have been content to live in ignorance of the rest of the world, especially since her family was not bad off at all. The Hunger Games was like a nightmare that renewed itself once each year, but the rest of the time she didn’t pay much attention to it at all…until her older brother was called. With horror, she began to watch the Hunger Games. Though he was part of the last ten, she still saw him get defeated – and he was defeated by one of the allies he had made at the beginning. Angrily, she cursed the Capitol, swearing its downfall. Two years later, when she was fourteen, she packed up her things and ran away from home in open rebellion. Now, at sixteen, she has found herself popular among the wanderers, and she greatly enjoys her life. As recently appointed Offensive Commander in the Wanderer gang, The Uprising, she is content. Although she has not accomplished anything yet, she still dreams of the day that the Capitol will fall, and she will be free to avenge her brother’s death.Codeword: muttations
