some people may tell you that blood is an expendable feature of our bodies. not many mind when they get a paper cut when going through files at work. there's people who have been trained to stop the bleeding. "it's just a cut, it'll be better in no time. scrapes and cuts, they all come from accidents, but what if blood was used for a pleasure and not as a necessity for our lives?

slowly, mortimer radshaw tipped his glass into the air, letting the shiny red liquid touch his lips. it wasn't a form of blood, no, he acknowledged the fact that drinking actual blood could harm him. he didn't want that, he didn't want that for his children and fledglings, his brother and his own kids. so instead, he mulled a wine to have the most physical similarities to blood as possible, a red color that looked as close to the blood as possible (he'd even check once or twice, using a knife to make sure they looked alike.)

raising the wine bottle, he poured a cup-full into each separate glass until the bottle was empty. he placed his bottle back with the stash of others, hidden away so none of the others could get to them.

a vampire is what mortimer believed he was; wanted to believe he was. he knows it is a myth, but he refuses to let it take away his dream, take away his destiny.

he put each glass on one single tray, picked the tray up with both hands, and carried it out to the others. his brother. his children. his fledglings.

his sharp canine teeth grinned widely as the sun now was fully gone for the day. he removed his sunglasses and put on his reading glasses. he stared at his underground gang, his cult, his family.

"drink up."

he smiled as they did, his empire slowly growing in strength.

Welcome to Bloodline. This plot is based mainly off of vampires. It started with two brothers, Mortimer and Maverick. The brothers had heard stories of vampires like Dracula and Nozferatu when they were little boys, and ever since then, they played pretend and acted as if they were real vampires. Their obsession carried on through their young years, teenage years, and even adult years. Both were in awe of how vampires lived. Both married and had children, who they considered their little vampiric children.

Both want a legacy, and both want an empire of people who can live with the obsession they both had as children, but this time, they could make it so it would feel like reality for the children and fledglings that made up their cult.

Description: Mortimer had loved vampires ever since he was a little boy, and he'd wish that they would've been real. He'd take the role seriously, adopting the traits and values of the vampires he heard in stories: avoid sunlight, wear sunglasses when outside, avoid large and sharp sticks, he even stole a coffin from a funeral home to sleep in. When he was old enough, he married his wife, Susanne, and had children with her. It had always been his goal in life to create a legacy like this, a group of people who could appreciate what he has for years. He would never let anyone take them from him. Psychopath, will refuse to let anyone take down his empire without a fight.
