Clouds roll in as darkness overtakes the Arena. The anthem blares and under the loud trumpets and drums you can almost hear someone’s voice, muffled into a microphone. It sounds like I’m sorry, but who can truly tell? The music overtakes this mystery person and the faces of the dead confront you:
Torka Hammerfell, District Two
Deja Hatcher, District Three
Maye Talliago, District Six
Mitchell Laws, District Twelve
Four faces light up the sky, this one hits you harder than the others before. Those were faceless strangers, these were your allies or even your enemies. The reality of the Games sweeps over you and you count the children remaining- eleven. You’re over half way home. You have a chance.
The anthem fades out.
Congratulations on surviving Day Four, Tributes!
A storm tears through the Arena during the night. Sleep is hard to come by and it's hard to see five feet in front of you. In the darkness and the rain, you find it difficult to see your allies and soon they are gone. Alone in this rainstorm, a tribute only has their own strength to rely on.
