Rasoio Plot

Plot- It's just like any other factory in District Eight, the one ran by Giovanni Rasoio, like his father before him and his father before that and his...(you get the idea). A Capitol owned factory, left in the trusting hands of the Rasoios. Exports to the Capitol are to a high standard, the products that come off the production line are likely the greatest in quality throughout the District, everything is normal at the Rasoio factory...Besides the shipments of contraband and loan shark business for the poorest of poor who come begging for money, and the violence... Other than that, everything is top notch!

Somewhere in the Rasoio family lineage, someone got bored of the simple creation and shipment of goods, so decided to jazz things up a little and create a 'side business.' With the help of molded family members and friends willing to put their life forwards for the family, the gang operates underground, away from the eyes of the Capitol and Peacekeepers. Their jobs are to drain owed loans from those who have borrowed and safely distribute across the District, any contraband that finds its way into the factory. And well, the Rasoios have their special kind of violence. Why not incorporate textiles with weapons? Well the finished result was a flat cap with razor blades secretly sewn into the peaks, the blades barely visible to the eye. And well, this is how they get their loans back.

Giovanni Rasoio is a well known playboy, sleeping around his wifes back before her untimely demise, many of his bastards run around District Eight. The best of his bastards he allowed to work in the business, they were even allowed to have the Rasoio name, as long as they didn't tell his wife.

The Rasoio operation ran smoothly for a long time. The family stayed true to their Ripred worshiping ways. Even after the terrible death of Giovanni's wife in an arson attack, it didn't take long for the mourning to blow over and operations to continue like normal. The somewhat large family somehow dodged the reaping bullet, until the 74th Hunger Games. Jenoah Rasoio, one of Giovanni's sons, the next prodigy in line to run the business was reaped. The family weren't worried, they had so much hope in Jenoah coming home victorious but a series of events would lead to the seventeen year olds demise in the arena. After it came apparent that Jenoah had abandoned the god of Ripred, ripples tore through the family. And to add salt the wound, Jenoah met his fate by the hand of a strong Ripred worshiper. This lead to many family members abandoning the god, causing a great divide in the family. "Ripred didn't save Jenoah, he killed him." "It was his own fault for abandoning him."

And so the divide is slowly tipping the family business over the edge. Will it put their secret operation at risk?

Summary- Hey look, a tribute died in the games, lets make a plot out of their family The Rasoio plot was a thing before Jenoah was reaped, it was just put on hold because...Jenoah was reaped .

So yes, it is basically a gang type family, who have razor blades sewn into their hats which they use to cut people who owe them money. Simple. Except, there is a divide in said family, due to the following of Ripred. Is he real? Is there any point in follow the god when he killed Jenoah? Ahh decisions decisions.

[The plot is based off of the TV show & real life events of the Peaky Blinders. The TV show can be found on Netflix, however you do not have to watch it to be a part of the family. But if you want to watch the show then, go ahead.]

Faceclaims- The Rasoios are POC (black), however 'friends who work in the business' can be anyone, from any descent and background. Unless of course a Rasoio family member is adopted, then you can use whatever time of face claim. However consult me first if you want an adopted character.

Ideas for character:

Living life in the fast lane, she's no stranger to the concept of blinking and missing. Whether it's a blink, a tick, a tock, a swipe -- it's enough to witness the fall of an entire religion. And though she's just like the rest of them; pride in her razors and bloodline, there is a scepticism festering at the light like mites. Forever in love with the idea of somewhere, someone is above for it gives her meaning, purpose, but failing to accept that a power so strong could not stop such heartbreak. A brother sinned is a brother who is gone -- it's the price paid for performing the unforgivable. But she is caught between the two halves of a broken heart, hopelessly trying to make amends before the light returns and snatches the world of truth.

Because she can make them see how things really are, she can make them see reality. She could do it within the snap of her fingers, and she's sure of it.

But if everything can happen so fast, like the fall of a religion, like the death of Jenoah, then she can't keep getting caught up in the possibilities. Consequences are not certainties, and last time, she froze in the fire. Does that make her as bad as her brother?

The stars are the only listeners to her thoughts, to her questions, to her confusion. They don't have any advice, and so she's lost.

She's lost, but she doesn't need to be found. She has to find herself. She has to.

Ideas for character: Okay so she's one of Giovanni's bastard children obviously, and she kinda feels like she doesn't really fit in to the main family, both because of her mother and because of a noticeable skin condition she also has. She's pretty diligent in both everyday life and in the family business, because hey, she's been looked down upon for all of her life and she wants to prove that she is more than just a bastard girl. She'll also be firmly on the anti-Ripred side of that divide, cause she never really was a believer in the first place and Jenoah's death only reinforced that.

Ideas for character: She's innovative as hell, but secretive. She loves thinking of new ways to improve both sides of the business. Although it appears she loves the business and wants it to grow, deep down, she desires the demise of the evil empire. She doesn't believe that it's morally right to do what the family does, but she's willing to accept it until she reaches her goal of owning it. She's willing to risk everything she has in order to eventually achieve her dream, even if it means backstabbing her own family. "I can do all things through Ripred who strengthens me."

Name of desired character: Valentia Rasoio....(her name means brave razor in Italian haha)
Age: 17
Ideas for character: He was wicked, full of hate for this world, and his fall was his own doing. She felt no sympathy for the fall of Jenoah, he had disturbed the waters of Ripred and so he was punished. She walks in the ways of Ripred, staying true to his word and his guidance, no matter what may happen. Mistakes are not caused by Ripred, but by those who stray form his path. She seemingly is unaware that she is the offspring of a broken man, of a man who cheated on his wife to create a bastard child. She loves her father, and she stays loyal to his business. Ripred has stolen her heart and placed her here, in the care of her father. She will forever serve Ripred as well as her father, for she is obediant and she is loyal.

-Basically she has a fucked ideal of her father (lowkey worships him as if he is Ripred)
-She willingly kills and commits violent crimes for the good of the business because she believes it is Ripreds light
-Her line between reality and her false god have sort of blurred and now she is lowkey off the rails

Ideas for character:
Dolores is not fit for this world of crime. In fact, her mother believed she were not fit for this world at all. As a babe, she knew that her child was not quite right, that there were something wrong but it was only as a grown woman did she realizeshe has a mind which is naive, simple, gentle kind- one that would never fit the mould of the Rasoio bloodline; but when her mother was killed by a rival gang and Dolores was placed in the care of her biological father, she became a puppet. Easily manipulated, Dolores will do almost anything without questioning but now the family is divided, between the believers and the non believers, Dolores finds herself on the side of Ripred. Tensions are rising and it's starting to take its toll on Dolores- everyone has their breaking point.
