APPEARANCE
Charlotte, or as she much prefers to be called, Charley, stands at about 5'7" tall. Her long, straight hair is dyed an aqua blue color. She thinks of this as a way to be different, and loves to use her style to express herself. Charley's eyes are a pale, blue-gray color and are seen as rather pretty by many people. She likes to wear makeup, as well as expensive clothing as a way of showing off her wealth. As someone who is confident in her body, she doesn't mind if her clothing is somewhat revealing, either.
With pale skin and a rather mature-looking appearance, she is often called beautiful. Charley also is often mistaken for older than she actually is, due to her appearance. She keeps herself cleaned up nicely with her nails trimmed neatly and sometimes painted with nail polish. Of course, everyone does have flaws, and Charley is no exception. Although she wishes she could hide it better, Charley has many stretch marks on her body. This is from a point in her life where she gained and lost weight rather quickly. Unfortunately, they are rather noticeable when she wears anything that shows her stomach or her upper legs, such as a swimsuit. This really bothers her, which is why, despite her not being afraid to wear revealing clothing in the aspect of showing her chest a little bit, she still doesn't like to show where her stretch marks are.
Charley is of a rather thin build, although she does have quite a bit of upper and lower body strength. Her main physical weakness, though, is that she's not very agile. She's quick, but not the best at dodging hits, which she's learned over the course of her career training. This is something that she hopes that she can fix someday. As someone who really enjoys running, that's often her main form of exercise outside of the things she does while training for the Games. This is likely how she has built up most of her leg strength.
PERSONALITY
Perhaps Charley's first step at being a bit of a rebel was by refusing to be called by her given name, Charlotte. She's always hated the name that she was born with, so she chose to go by Charley instead. Everyone in her family calls her this, as well as her friends, even though it frustrates her mother that she won't just go by Charlotte. Charley loves to be different. She dyed her hair a turquoise blue when she was fourteen, and has kept it that way since, liking to use that as a way to express herself. As someone who is very self-confident, she also loves to show off, which can sometimes have a negative effect.
Due to being a bit of a show-off, she often has people telling her that she's being rude, or that she's not as great as she thinks she is. It's likely that Charley's boasting, overconfidence and tendency to be a show-off comes from the fact that she's always been told by her family that she's great at her career training, and would be a good tribute for the Hunger Games. The girl hopes that some day she can either volunteer for the Games, or be picked to go in herself. Due to how much she cares for her family, though, she's worried about the fact that her siblings want the same thing as her. She doesn't want them to go in the Games since she's rather protective of them, but she knows that they want to.
Charley's passion for Career training often distracts her from other things, like her schoolwork. She often goes off, practicing with knives rather than doing her math homework. It's not uncommon for her grades to go down at school when it gets close to the time of the reaping, since she will focus more on training around that time. Charley certainly isn't a pacifist, as she does like to fight. It's true, however, that she doesn't like to fight if she thinks it's for a stupid reason. If there's no good reasoning for why she should use her combat skills, she's more likely to just argue with the person or try to tell them off for bothering her.
HISTORY
Charley grew up with her mother, father, younger sister and younger brother. They've always gotten along rather well, and only ever really argue when it comes to who's the best career. All three of the Fiat children started their career training at age ten, and Charley has certainly gained a passion for it. Most of the friends that she has, she has gained through her training. To this day, she remains rather close with the friends she met from when she first started out.
The eldest Fiat child has never lost anyone close to her, neither to the Games, nor to death in any other way. She isn't scared of death as much as most people are, but she still doesn't want to lose anyone she cares about. Her parents own a jewelry shop, which is where a lot of the family's income comes from. The Fiat family is rather wealthy, which has certainly helped them with various things, such as getting what they need and want. Charley doesn't have a job herself, as it isn't really necessary with how much the family already makes for money.
When Charley was a little girl, before she started her career training, she would often be found wandering about the District. She's always loved being outside, ever since she was young. Reading is also a passion on hers, when she's not training, as her parents always would read her bedtime stories. The girl has a hope that one day, she will be able to publish a book of her own. Although, she's not entirely sure what she would write it about.
