Ratmas Day 3 (come early) - Character Swap

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to roleplay with a different member’s character, maybe just for a thread or two? Have you ever wanted to write with the opposite half of your favorite site OTP? Have a character that you’ve lost inspiration for and want to give up? Now’s your chance! For Day 2 of Ratmas, you will have the opportunity to swap characters.How will it work?
From now until midnight EST on December 28th, this thread will be open for “donating” characters. To do this, you will need to fill out one of the four forms which indicate which type of swap you would like to partake in. After midnight EST, a staff member will post announcing that adoption is open. You will then be able to post claiming a character. Once your swap has been confirmed, a staff member will edit your post with a little “confirmed” note at the bottom. You can then begin roleplaying with your swapped character ^^ You can continue to “donate” characters during the adoption period. At midnight EST on December 31st, both donation and adoption will close. You will then be able to write with your temporarily adopted characters for two weeks (until January 14th).What types of swaps are there?
Random Short-Term Swap: You donate your character without specifying a recipient. Once adoption is opened, your character is available on a first come, first serve basis - the first person to post asking for your character will get them. Short term swaps last for two weeks (until January 14th).
Pre-Selected Short Term Swap: You donate your character, specifying a recipient. Once adoption is opened, the specified recipient will reply confirming that they will be temporarily roleplaying with your character. Short term swaps last for two weeks (until January 14th).
Random Permanent Swap (Adoption): You donate your character without specifying a recipient. Once adoption is opened, your character is available on a first come, first serve basis - the first person to post asking for your character will get them. Permanent swaps last for forever. Once you have given up your character for permanent adoptions you cannot have them back, so donate carefully.

Once you have given up a character for donation/adoption, you cannot take them back during the specified time period (be it permanent or temporary). If you have temporarily adopted a character, you can only roleplay with them during the specified two weeks unless you specifically talk to ghosty or ✨ zozo. about extending the time period. Do not do anything drastic or life changing with your temporarily adopted character unless you have specifically asked the owner’s permission. You are allowed to donate as many characters as you’d like, but take it easy on adoption. If we feel you are adopting too many characters, we will ask you to narrow it down.Ratmas House Points
