Alvis Lumiere lives a carefully scheduled life, in a little room of a big house that he keeps neat and tidy. Career training takes up his time in the mornings and afternoons, as befitting a Lumiere. He likes to train, for he is praised by the adults on how much he enjoys it.
He gravitates to older Careers to hang out with. "They aren't very nice to you," the adults look on with concern, but he hadn't minded - people never meant to hurt others, and the jokes must have all been in good fun. The ones that stole money and beat people up were the only ones that weren't very nice. But the adults must have understood more than he did, and besides, time spent hanging out was time not studying or training.
Alvis Lumiere wakes up, trains in the morning, goes to school, trains in the afternoon, does all his homework, and goes to bed. His time is far too precious to waste on frivolous activities. He may not make the coveted spot of tribute, but such work ethic is a skill best cultivated when young, and many people lack the discipline for.
Alvis Lumiere's achievements and dedication are a source of pride for the family. He has been given all the resources of the powerful Loyalist branch of the Lumieres, and that investment is beginning to pay off.
