Appearance//:
Small, glimmering, blue-gray eyes are what I see the world through. They're close together and not too far from my long and skinny, yet quite petite nose. The light-colored yet somewhat heavy-looking eyebrows that I have rest close to my eyes, as they're set rather low on my face. My skin is of a light tone, which is drastically different from my brother's much darker, chocolate brown skin. I have very few freckles adorning my skin, but a variety of birth marks are able to be seen in various places on my body.
I rarely ever tan, no matter how much time I spend outside. Granted, I do burn quite easily, and it's not uncommon to see me with a sunburn on the less cloudy days in District One. My face is round, or perhaps a bit more oval-shaped, and I have a high forehead. I often have a stern look on my face, as I don't smile a lot. Although, my lack of smiling isn't due to being unhappy in any way. No, I'm actually often quite happy, I just don't express it too much. When I do smile, my slightly-crooked teeth show through, and I often have to push my chewing gum to the side of my mouth to avoid it dropping out. Often, I wish I could keep my teeth whiter, but it's grown to be a problem for me, as they always seem to have a yellow tinge to them, at least slightly.
My smooth, rounded chin continues the continues, not very rigid structure of my face. When you look at my jaw, though, you can see that it juts out a bit, making it more noticeable than most of my other facial features. Slightly higher up that normal are my ears; sometimes my brother teases me and says I'm like a cat, as they have a bit of a point to them, too. That's why I tend to keep them hidden under my hair, more often than not. Sometimes, I wish I could turn my brother into a cat so that he couldn't call me one. My upper lip is a cupid's bow, and my bottom lip is a bit large, but overall, my pink lips are smooth and don't take away from my appearance.
Blonde hair is a part of my appearance that I particularly like. It's mostly straight with a slight wave to it, and it has grown down to the point where it's about halfway down my back when I brush it out. My hair is sleek and clean, and rarely ever dry. Compared to other people, I wouldn't say I'm very tall. I'm of average height, or perhaps a bit under that, and I'm sometimes told that I'm underweight. Being underweight is not due to being unhealthy on my part, though, as it more so originates from how active and fit I am, which tends to burn off any fat that I've gained.
Small, delicate hands tie my combat boots that I wear on a daily basis. I pull on my hole-filled tights that my brother insists are ruined, but I tell him they're a fashion statement. Dresses of any sort appeal to me, as long as I'm not training or being too active. Otherwise, I'll be seen in clothing a bit more comfortable, though I'll almost always be donning my black leather combat boots. They're my absolute favorite accessory. Not only do I find that hey look good, but I find them comfortable, and they also cover my feet, as I hate wearing open-toed shoes, mostly due to them revealing how uneven and chipped my toenails always are.

Personality//:
I'm quite sarcastic, often baffling people with my quick wit and sharp tongue. It's not unusual to hear some foul language come out of my mouth, even if I do often get scolded for it. I have nothing against rule-breaking, and I've always been quite the rebel. Not allowed out after dark? I'll come home an hour late. Grounded for coming home so late? I'll sneak out to be with my friends. Punished for sneaking out? Okay, maybe I'll stay home this time. I don't always disobey what I'm told to do, but it does happen quite often.
Some of my friends, as well as my older brother, have often told me that I'm 'boy-crazy'. I tell them they're wrong, but they continue to push it. Therefore, I act like I'm agreeing with them and give in, simply because I don't want to hear it anymore. Sure, I like a cute boy here and there, but it's not like I chase them around and kiss them whenever I get the chance. Don't get my wrong, I do care about my brother and all of my other siblings that I live with. It's just that sometimes, here and there, we get into little arguments. Luckily, my mother, Zia, is rather good at breaking up the little conflicts that may crop up sometimes.
It took a while for me to agree to do any 'formal' training. At first, I just wanted to learn everything on my own. I was a natural when I started, picking up skills fairly quickly. Although, it eventually got to the point that those who were actually learning from an instructor were surpassing my skill level, which began to frustrate me. This motivated me to learn everything I could, and when I'm motivated, I work extremely hard. I'm a very dedicated individual, and I don't give up very often. If something doesn't seem to work out the way I want it to, however, I do get rather frustrated and may stomp my feet a bit.
I've always been told that I'm intelligent. Okay, well, perhaps not always. For many years, it was "Sadie, you need to pay more attention in school," and "Sadie, for goodness gracious and Ripred's sake, do your homework!" No matter how many times these things were said to me, though, it took until I was about ten years old for it to finally sink in. That was when I really started paying attention in school and doing what I was supposed to in training. I became a very avid reader, smart enough to figure out the meanings of new words without help.
I'm also very good with animals, especially my cat, Muffin. Muffin was a gift to me from my father, many years ago. She's a friendly cat, most of the time, I suppose. I love her more than any other animal in the world, and more than most people, so you could say that we're rather chummy with one another. Animals have always been drawn to me. I never seem to scare them off, and have been told that if I wanted to, I could probably pet a falcon, since it wouldn't be likely to fly away from me.

History//:
I don't remember my father, or much of anything about my family before the Rior family camp was started. I've lived on this camp for close to my entire life, and it's my home. I love it here. My brother Carter and I were brought here by our mother to live with a man who was wheelchair bound and had a few kids of his own, as well as a plethora of adopted children. Over the years, more and more children have been adopted into the Rior family, and we all live in this camp-like facility together. I'd say that I'm quite happy here.
It would probably be best for me to explain what the camp is like. We're allowed to leave the campgrounds as often as we'd like; it's just where we live and train as careers. There's a training facility that our, mother, Zia runs, and it's mainly meant for just us kids. Although, once in a while, others are invited to come and train with us for the day. Our family is quite large with all of the adopted children, so it's not unreasonable for us to have a training center to ourselves.
A few close friends here and there are all I really had when I was growing up. Now, however, I am really close with many of my siblings, and I've gained more friends at school. These friends are always there for me, and we talk a lot with one another. I'm more likely to get into an argument or disagreement with my siblings than I am with my friends. I think that's because I can lose friends and they would never have to talk to me again, but my siblings can't just walk away from me permanently. Overall, I've grown up in a rather pleasant environment with great people in my life. I hope to have it continue this way for years to come, too.
