The ultimate challenge is patiently resting for the days to come; This is vigorously considered, as I stare upon the bubbles dancing to the brim of yet another beer. My chin heavily sits against the back of my right hand, as my palms and forearms lie across the metal vanity within the bedroom established as my own for the time being. Except nothing within this foreign dreadful location, labeled as the Capitol, truly belongs to me. The petite pockets of air float to the top of my drink, desperate for release from the poisonous liquid. The sole ones I’m graced to call my own are back home, probably weeping over this decision I’ve made. Even the only Brother I have blessing my close company, has painfully disowned me. A distraction is desperately needed, as my alcoholic beverages are no longer sufficing.
Far too many thoughts are harassing my mind, battling each other for my severe attention. My entire O’Hana most likely despises me now. How can I possibly perform my duties of protecting Lightning, when he won’t even look at me? The terminal game of survival will be starting soon. Yet I’m craving for a competition now. The final quarter of my current beer is consumed in a single inhale, freeing the bubbles from their fluttering desires. It’s time to quit drinking away my sorrows, and actually have some pure fun.
Elegant steps carry me through the fourth floor of this towering establishment. Truly my tolerance has halted the alcohol from having a significant affect on me, as an unfortunate sober qualities plague me. A great, enjoyable high can be achieved from a little play at least. My lips curl upward, as I press the button to call for the elevator, forcing my internal self from concentrating on the wrong doings of my current reality. It’s time to finally to gather my head into a rightful stance towards what’s to come.
Is everyone strenuously dedicated to training through each minute they have left before the Arena, or is it the massive amount of Tributes that appear to consistently be cluttering the bottom Center? Either way I must become as passionate, as all of them combined, in the art of perfection; Of course that doesn’t mean some amusement can’t join such though. It seems that every square foot is occupied by another potential future opponent. But thankfully, it also appears that they’re subtly clearing out for the event of Dinner. Good, my sarcastic presents can only be gifted to the obnoxiously devoted.
Pristine lines tempt my tongue at the sight of one in particular from Seven. That damn District nearly had more Volunteers then my own- and they would have if it wasn’t for Lightning. This fact urges curiosity though, as I travel over to the young man hurling hatchets to targets with great skills. Maybe he’ll be interested in a bit of entertainment. And with the recollection of his prosthetic leg gleaming across my vision, it’s company I must have.
“That’s some nice wood you have.” A cocky tone intertwines in my words, as my eyebrows and lips raise in a jokingly flirtatious manner. It’s been a while since my humorous seduction has reigned me. “Having any fun I can join in on?” I request with a hopeful pitch.
