Dropping through the trap doors in the roof, you find yourself on a random mezzanine landing in a great hall. Below you countless stair cases seem to spiral and jut out in every direction, merging and separating at logic defying angles. Some seem to uselessly climb the ceiling as others go from one side of the mansion to the other and it's not until you spy the occasional gravity-defying mutt rolling around that realization begins to set in — the stairs are not useless at all. Gravity has been tampered with. The first step requires courage, but adrenaline is there for the second and for some joy buoys the third. All around tributes are running on walls and ceilings, anyone who attempts to jump too high falling strangely, landing in a different gravitational direction than their original momentum implied they should be moving in. Occasionally you find yourself doing a double take as a mutt rolls by unexpectedly, thinking you've spotted the face of an ally you couldn't find in the bloodbath. Their shells reflect marble again too quickly and the moment is lost, but there is no time to chase after the mystery as the sound of battle echoes anew. The bloodbath has ended, but the real fighting has only begun.
Mechanics:
FA: You may use First Aid exactly once on Day 1 — whether this is before Day 1.5 or after Day 1.5 is up to you.
Broken Legs: Tributes with broken legs still need assistance fleeing until Day 2.
Improvised weapons: You may not improvise weapons until after your Day 1.5 fight has finished.
Tribute Maintenance: Please post your updated inventory and any healing you have opted for on Tribute Maintenance before Day 1.5 officially starts.
Day 1.5 Official Start: 10am EST on Monday, February 20th.
For solos:
- Solos do not have to participate, but may still hunt or be hunted AFTER the duos have finished their fights. (This excludes solos who are utilizing the Camouflage station.)
- Solo tributes may either stay in the mansion or go undetected to the Rose Garden.
For duos:
- You must participate in a fight. You may choose your opponents, with 4-6 tributes per fight. Your opponents must be in the same Stilted Mansion as you (Stilted Mansion or Stilted Mansion Prime)
- You have 24 hours to PM your fight configuration to the GMs. (All parties involved must consent.) If you are unable to choose your opponents or pair up, we will choose your fights for you. Note that 4-person configurations may get a lone pair added to their fight.
- There must be an average of 40 damage per every duo spread amongst the tributes before you may leave the fight. (Average of 20 damage per individual tribute.) This includes damage that each tribute already has.
- You do not have to kill anyone, but you may.
- (You may wish to fight people that you trust not to kill you.)
- You must roll for posting order before you start fighting. You should roll for posting order before you pick your fights.
For the Wealth Pairs:
- Wealth Pairs may use their grappling hooks to escape to any area on their side of the arena via the rose garden and avoid fighting if they choose. They must notify the GMs what they intend to do and where they intend to go in advance.
