In the heart of District One, the greatest District in the world, a revolution is rising. Not one to over throw the government, but one  that begins with words, rhythm and knowledge.

In One, the name meets weekly to debate to their hearts content, but as the regional finals of a debate competion grow near, pressure of a rival debate group- the Red Coats- grows and bribery and scnadal is discovered, it begins the spark of  a spoken revolution.

Tired of the injustice, the Revolutionaries begin working together to get the justice they deserve and win the competition but will they eventually find themselves free from the 'war' they are about to unleash on themselves, or will the blood they shed begin an endless cycle of vengeance and death with no defendants?

The Revolutionaries

Once part of the Redcoats, the Revolutionaries became from their own group when members did not like the almost tyranical leadership of George; but they have found that the shadow of the Redcoats is still hanging over them and becoming their own debate group isn't as easy as it appears. With their first ever debate regionals coming up, they are desperate to prove themselves on stage but they need to fight the injustice that is happening behind the scenes.

Alexander Hamilton
Sixteen - Faceclaim Open - Played by ?

I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwing away my shot"

Hamilton is the youngest and newest member of the revolutionaries, having recently moved from a less affluent area of One. He is outspoken, brave, brash and the most disliked of the group despite being perhaps the most knowlagable and soon finds himself the treasurer of the club and George's right hand man and the sweetheart of Eliza. He writes like he is writing out of time but will his words, his ego and his lust be the end of his reputation?

Aaron Burr

Aaron Burr is member of the Revolutionaries, but believes he is an under appreciated member. He wants to be at the top, the president of the group, and will do anything he can to get there; whether thats changing his stance on debates at the last minute. He is envious of Alexander's popularity amongst the group, despite him have been here longer and working twice as hard. Despite being intelligent, he has no set opinion, Aaron Burr is all swings and roundabouts when it comes down to the thick of it; oh and he is secretly in love with Redcoat member- Theodosia.

George Washington

George Washington is the founding father of the revolutionaries. The son of a rich merchant in One, George uses his knowledge he acquires from his education at school to his advantage but despite being the one who can get them through the war of words that is approaching it, he is growing tired of leadership as his members begin to abandon him. An honourable man, he is a good friend to Hamilton and sworn enemy to the Redcoats. His pride is his vice, but he knows cannot win this battle alone.

Angelica Schuyler

Angelica is the eldest of the Schulyer sisters, daughters of Philip Schulyer, one of the original members of the Red Coats, and is desperate for girls to be a bigger part of the group and have a place on the committee. She is strong and independant, a fighter and not afraid to speak her mind despite being a girl; but that doesn't stop her. She is trying to be the best influence she can on her sisters and not let get her crush on Alexander get in the way of Eliza.

Eliza Schuyler

Eliza is the second daughter of Philip Schulyer, an original member of the Redcoats, and is one of the quieter of the members of the group. She is a poet at heart and is not one for the feirce debates that take place but she has a big heart and is as strong and brave. Not one to take the spotlight, she finds herself almost helpless when she finds herself face to face with Alexander Hamilton, hearthrob and heartbreaker.

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson is a member of the Revelutionaries who is working with the Legionaires, believing that he can get valuble tips from the group. He is absent for most sessions and has strong opinions which oppose those of Alexander Hamilton. He is secutary of the Revolutionaries.

John Laurens

John Laurens is a member of the Redcoats and has strong opinions against Avoxing. He is friends with Hercules Mulligan, Lafyette and Hamilton.

Hercules Mulligan

Hercules Mulligan is a ladies man, a tailors apprentice and a secret member of the Revolutionaries. He is charsimatic and secretive and acts as a spy between the two groups. Brother of a Redcoat, Mulligan often attends meetings to gather information, giving the secrets he gathers to the Revolutionaries.

The Redcoats

One of the biggest debate teams in One, they are ruthless and the most hated of all by opposing teams; everyone has their qualms with one another but none bigger than that with the Redcoats. Run by King George Jr., descendent of the original Redcoat founder, they are funded by Kings's wealth. Their natural rivalries- the Revolutionaies- have made it to the finals but they are not allowing their shadow to shift from the opposition just yet. The group will do anything they can to win the War of Words; even if it means playing dirty.

King George Jr.

King George Jr- yes that is his real name- is the son of a wealthy member of District One's elite. Slightly mad, he rules the Redcoats with an iron fist and has yet to shift from leadership after three years (despite rumours that he shouldn't be President of the group and that he tampered with the last election). While he is OKAY at his debating, he can be cocky and this gets him into trouble more often than not.

Maria Reynolds

She turned red, she led me to her bed
Let her legs spread and said: Stay?"

Maria Reynolds is a member of the Redcoats and well known seductess.  She is girlfriend of James Reynolds- another member of the Redcoats and wellknown bully- but she has her eyes set on Alexander. Whether it is for her own gain or the gain of her clubs, she will certainly cause a stirr that will resonate through debating history.

James Reynolds

James Reynolds is a member of the body guard of King James and member of the Redcoats. He isn't bright at all and rarely takes the stage at debates because he rarely wins one due to his lack of temper but he is excellent at threatening people and therefore, getting his way and the way of his club.

Theodosia

Theodosia is a member of the Redcoats but finds herself in a star crossed love with Revolutionaries's member- Aaron Burr.

Lafayette

Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette - or simply known as Lafayette by his friends- is the son of a District One Artistrocat and member of the Legionaire's who lost last years regionals and are suffering similiar issues the Revolutionaries are with the Redcoats. While he is not an official member, he is helping them get through the competion with his knowledge and with the help of his own group in hopes they will aid the creation of a new Legionaire group following the Revolutionarie's win at the War of Words but will he be able to gain the support he needs to star a revolution of his own?

Peggy Schulyer
Fifteen - Faceclaim Open - Played by ?

Youngest of the Schulyer sisters and twin of Philip Schulyer, Peggy is not old enough to be a member of the group yet but is moe like Eliza than she is Angelica in personality. Regardless she can sometimes be found at meetings, often dragged along by Angelica.

Philip Jr Schulyer
Fifteen - Faceclaim Open - Played by ?

Youngest of the Schulyer's and twin of Peggy Schulyer, Philip Jr is not old enough to be a member of the group yet but he shows the makings of greatness in him. He sees Alexander as an idol, someone to look up to and will defend him with his own life if needs be.

I thought this was missing from our site and I  am very excited to have this plot up and running! I have worked very hard on it. Your ideas about your desired character:
Steadfast with a silvertongue, Washington led the charge against King, breaking away from the Redcoats with a swagger and confidence that attracted a significant amount of members. And it shows - she's been able to almost singlehandedly lift the team up the scoreboards with good instincts, a lifetime of study, and a take-no-prisoners attitude. Yet while she consistently scores near or at the top of debates each round (with her new right-hand-man Hamilton at her side), she sees her team suffer - they barely made it to finals, scraping by with a few points, and meetings are slowly devolving from debates to arguments as people jump ship (she won't be surprised if there's a fist fight by the end of it all).

As the defacto leader, she knows that she's doing all she can - and with a new cabinet of officers they're slowly (frankly) getting their shit together. But the Redcoats have more: the perfect meeting space, a reputation that's like a magnet for accomplished debaters, and actual funds. Funds would be nice. And deep down, she doesn't quite know what she's doing. Is it all a show, she wonders, as she leads them to each battle and they leave with burns. The Redcoats are tyrannical, but they're the best for a reason.

And while she loves debating, she hears the rest of her life calling for her - she can't still be doing this five years down the road, and if she wants this group to last, at some point it'll have to get by without her leadership, whether they like it or not. Bylaws sound like a great idea.
