"I have always been passionate about politics. And I'm young, sure, but I've been through things just like you have, I've seen the things you have.
I don't need to pretend and try to put myself in your shoes because I've been there myself. Having very little and struggling to make ends meet, independence and self-reliance, and a gut-wrenching pain which doesn't seem to go, ever.
I'm here today because I know how it feels.
I want you to believe in me because you can trust me; I truly want the best for you and your friends and your families and everyone. Because that is what a Mayor should do; Mayors have a duty to care for those they are responsible for.
And I get it; half of you are probably thinking that politicians can promise anything and will do just to win vote. I'm going to make sure I bring you permanent solutions to the problems which face us as a community and not a bandage.
Damage has been done. We've all heard about the crime, perhaps some of us have even been a victim of it; you can't bandage this damage as it means it will be forgotten. I don't want to forget.
I want to remember because it means that we can look back and improve what we have.
At ten years old, I always thought that Six was pretty in its own special way. The people, the sense of community, the dirt paths which loop you through the sights which remind you why this is the place you call home.
But we have to realise that whilst home is where the heart is, it needs to be that we feel proud to call home. We can't be blinded by beauty or silenced by sin; we have to move forwards, just like everyone else.
This world can't promise liberty and justice for all and choose who experiences those liberties.
So this is Florence Tempest-Vane, saying we will experience the liberties we deserve.
We don't need a crown as a confirmation of our greatness.
We can be intelligent. More so than ever before; upping the budget for education is so important for us if we want to learn, and if we want to grow and open our minds to see the world from each other's eyes and not just our own. It's good to form opinions and stand by them because although it is cliche - the saying "if you stand for nothing, you fall for anything" is very true.
Be smart and be confident, but never let that become arrogance.
With that education, we can improve our facilities by having highly skilled employees. Making strong advances with medicine to remove diseases which have riddled us for so long. I want to make that happen for you; Six is rooted in science and I'm never going to forget that.
And thus, we can trade our goods with the Capitol. I will demand that they pay a premium price for our goods so that we can adequately fund the research and pay those who work for days and nights a wage that they deserve.
That's what I want for this place.
I've been through what you've been through and I want to promise that it'll never, ever happen again. Investments like this, forward thinking and planning like what I present will almost guarantee that we will create a District that has been bruised, sure, but stronger than ever before.
I'm saying all of this because I'm not perfect, I'm human just like you are. I make mistakes and I have moments where all of what I just mentioned seems irrelevant and all I want to do is feel sorry for myself. Recently, I made the decision to go it alone and try harder.
Inner happiness is worth it. I'm realising that and I want to give you the means to realise it too.
Turning myself around and trying to become a positive influence has been worth it.
I want Six to be turned around and for it to be worth it, too.
Don't you think it's damn time for change?"
