Lightning Celeste Jewel was such a pretty name that my parents came up with. It was witty, charming and a little odd, but it was one of a kind. Here in district three, I live with my brother and my sister, all of whom are the same age as I am. How's the possible? You guessed it, triplets. Luck must run in our family, because we were the best invention that my mother and father could ever come up with. Mind you, it was probably an complete accident, but whatever. No one else was able to outdo them on their spectacular ability, but here we are. Not to mention, the three of us children have became just as our parents prescribed us to be. We all tinker and toy. Our joy is marked by our ability to create and amaze others with things that no one else has thought of. Our job is simple; invent where no one has visioned before.

I'll admit it, no one is truly happy about the Jewel family taking all the credit. Our brilliance is masked by our humility though and we don't seem to rub it in the faces of our competitors. That's not the right way to go about it. Our father said pride would kill us faster then the games, and I'm afraid that he might be right. Our ideas would be our own. Our inventions and designs would get us no where if everyone knew of them, which is why I tend to seek the peaceful lodging of my hidden sanctuary. Not even Bolt knows it and I wouldn't dare tell Monsoon, either.

A few years ago, the topic had come up about our ideas becoming public in the eyes of our district and from Bolt's unfortunate luck, the capitol. His idea had been taken away from him just like the children in our district - without a care in the world. Each one slain to create a heaven for the capitol's wondrous eyes. In our family, we always have to be mindful of prying eyes and listening devices. So, at twelve, I became carving out a hole in the ground, slowly making my future hideaway from all. Family and blood have no knowledge of this at all, don't get me wrong, but secrecy is everything.

As the years went by, everything developed further in the district, but my 'Burrow' was nearly complete. A combination of rubble and water, mixed with a few other things, lined the walls of my sneaky palace. It hardened with obvious amateur status but after three years, it was completed.

Papers line the walls above the wooden, makeshift desk and among the artist's mess, the portfolio that would contain the many recipes for the redo of the 'burrow'. Everything I learn, I learn by doing. Everything is hands on for me and problem solving each new scenario. I long to make everyone's lives easier in the future and if I have to, within the next two years, this bunker will become my home if my name is ever called. They will never find me, or kill me trying. That's all I got to say on the matter.

Civil engineering is my forte, while chemical engineering takes a backseat. I mainly use that for the formulas to come up with the right amount of each compound used in structuring my bunker walls , of sorts.

I don't dabble with the other two branches, as I have no sense of tech-savvy communications at the current time, and no time to devote to learn it. One day with proper time and teaching, I'll master it in no time. I'll bide my time with the electrical specific. Fire always seems to start when I mess with that area and with the threat of explosions, yikes. I've got a long way to go. I did manage to burn my left eyebrow off once with a harrowing ordeal. Let's just say that I've learned my lesson.

It took nearly a month for the hair to grow back and it did so in the most peculiar way. It's now a tad bit darker then the other side, which is a lighter blond. It is interesting and it definitely sets me apart from my twin sister now. She and I are almost identical, but the differences are more numerous then the similarities. I have a small, nose that elongates a good length but it's not pointed or anything like that. It's just that the bridge of my nose flattens against my cheeks, making it not as defined. Probably the one quality that I despise about myself.

Long locks cascade and cover my shoulders most of the time, unkempt except for the wash and quick comb to get the tangles out. They almost cover my narrow shoulders that fashion a pair of long arms. I'm rather gangly, if I really had to describe how I looked to people. I feel almost awkward half of the time. In my bunker, I do have to duck in order to enter as I was much shorter when I first started the project.

Gorgeous lush lips long to touch the skin of the male I'm bound to fall in love with. I doubt he would even notice me at all considering that secrets run in my family. Not a soul would know, but I wish he'd catch a glimpse of my blue eyes yearning for him, stripping him down to his bare naked chest. What I wouldn't give for him to stare at my fair skin, wash over my appearance and long to take me away. My smile would never cease if that happened, but engineering the perfect man to do such that would take a lifetime to invent.

If brains were muscles, I'd be ripped, but sadly, I'm more suited to draw and plan then to physically take on a daunting heavy task. That's what I have Bolt for whenever I need him. He's really awesome, but I wish that he'd stand up for himself more. It's either me or Monsoon that does that, so I'm glad that he allows us to do so for him. I won't hesitate to stand up for him or anyone else for that matter. We are three peas in a pod and when family is part of the equation, you either help each other work it out or solve the problem by yourself.
