A sad tale of lost that he lets go as he moves away from the table that contained Glamour Kinkade, a man with capabilities to gossip about anything and everything and still look like a sparkling star of glitter. Head shaking as he moves away to somewhere else. Heart takes him wherever he can find some sort of peace or friendly conversation in the party that he was forced to go to. A note left upon the counter of his kitchen when he found it. Snow had gotten it inside somehow and that thought still terrifies him, but he doesn't bother. He doesn't think about it too hard because in the end, there would always be eyes on him. The price of winning the hunger games coming to life.

That's how he finds himself looking for Shelby Leviane, not because he has a bottle of champagne in his hands like a gift to fix the pressure of the party that the capitol threw. Shelby was an interesting woman, also a victor of a middle district who had to start the line of victors that never had been in a long time. As he approaches her, he grabs a clean glass and pours some of the champagne into the glass. A smile upon his face as he glances over her and speaks calmly.

"Champagne, Ms. Leviane?"

Between being woken up at the crack of dawn by Adessia and being told by her that drinking on the train at nine in the morning was not acceptable, I would consider the morning to be qualified as being described as pretty fucking shitty.

But now the sun had faded to stars and I had been given a silver dress to slip into. It accented curves and left something to the imagination, and even though I would not be caught admitting it, I was absolutely in love with most aspects of it.

If it had pockets, it would be absolutely perfect.

But due to the shortcoming I had tucked the letter to Cha into the space hidden by my chest. It had lost a corner or two since leaving the arena with me two years past, but a majority of the ink was still salvageable, and truly, it was the tangible nature of the paper that prompted me to shove it into my dress time and time again.

After excusing myself from the table at which I had been seated to stretch my legs and perhaps, catch a drink, I found myself in the process of readjusting the square of paper when a voice to my left causes me to turn abruptly, hand still in dress.

A well-dressed man with soft green eyes is offering me alcohol, and if I am ever in this situation and refuse, I am either dead or should be instantly shot. I smile and take the champagne flute from his hand gladly, “Thank you, but if you’re ever trying to get into my pants again, I recommend whiskey. You are?”

Embarrassment crosses his cheeks with a reddish tint that easily gives him away. Eyes glancing anywhere else that wasn't Shelby Leviane's hand or dress. Hands holding a champagne flute each as he avoids the awkward moment. An awkward chuckle comes from his lips with ease. For whatever reason, Kaiser Fray comes to his mind.
The smirk upon Kaiser's lips as he remembers the sparring match and the scene after that sparring match. A moment that was upon his skin like a memory that always comes forth as it was the first time he's ever done something like that. Shelby's smiles reaches his eyes as he looks back to her again.

The champagne flute leaves his hand as his ears pick up her words, "Thank you, but if you’re ever trying to get into my pants again, I recommend whiskey. You are?" Whiskey. A preference for Shelby Leviane, then it hits him what she meant. The words pants and get in ringing in his ears as he almost drops the flute in his other hand with a clumsy failure of composure. Luckily, he caught it in time. After all, he didn't want to embarrass himself anymore than he already has. His head shakes no in response as he feels himself stumbling over words from the thought of her thinking that he was trying to get into her pants. This was not what he meant when he was giving her the champagne flute.

"I-I wasn't trying to er sleep with you, if that's what you're implying, Shelby."

A swig of champagne follows the words that fall from his lips awkwardly.

"S-Sorry. Just that I uh don't like you like that, Shelby."
