It is ordinary for a youngster to think of his/her parents as villains in a storybook but in the case of these six teenagers, there’s more to this thought. Their parents are not seen as ordinary though. A circle of high-society clans, composed of mutt designers, revolutionary scientists, innovators and television stars. They have the glamour, the attention, the coins and different parenting approaches to their children. But, what really do these people gather together and associate with each other for? They, using the guise of a charity organization called PRIDE, conduct unholy and fatal experiments on avoxes, and the unfortunate wanderers who strayed upon the wrong path for the purpose of new and revolutionary discoveries.
When the teenagers trail down a trapdoor that they accidentally opened in Alex Wilder’s mansion, they caught their parents whilst they committed the deeds and almost got caught themselves due to Molly’s whimpers.
It’s up to the six teenagers to unite against one common enemy—their criminal parents who have the law and the Capitol by their sides. When presented with two choices—one, expose their illicit, criminal ways or two, runaway from their homes—which one will they choose? Are they willing to abandon their lifestyles and silver platters? Are they all set to lose their parents forever? What are the parents going to do to them if they catch them in flagrante? Parents do know their children.
But first, Alex, Nico, Chase, Karolina, Gertrude and Molly need to resolve the internal issues they have against each other. Torn apart by the passing of their friend Amy, who died in mysterious circumstances, the six children must confront their parents and their guilt if they want to escape this web of lies.
THE RUNAWAYS
Alex Wilder
Strategist, de facto leader of the Runaways troop, a loud-and-proud nerd and an isolated individual. The death of Amy Minoru took a huge toll on him as she was his best friend and this hauled him into a more introverted state. But deep down, what Alex wants is to reunify his childhood group of friends, thus indirectly causing the creation of the Runaways. He has an undisclosed admiration for Nico Minoru but the prying eyes and the constant grins make it less of a secret.
Nico Minoru
Tough as nails, independent, the embodiment of teenage angst with her dark mascara and gothic looks. Out of the six, she has the most likelihood of attaining mystic powers. She believes in the supernatural and had attempted to channel spirits. Sister to the deceased Amy Minoru, her death caused Nico to hide behind a facade crafted via make-up and isolate herself from others. It needs a special something/someone to falter her mask. After scavenging through her mother’s belongings, Nico stumbled over an item called the Staff of One, a reversible spear-sword.
Chase Stein
A highschool heartthrob who is often dismissed as an imprudent jock. Contrary to popular beliefs, Chase undergoes through phases of brilliance in engineering, not unlike his father Victor Stein’s. Though he won’t ever admit this to anyone but his mother Janet Stein, Chase lives in fear of his father’s erratic mood-swings and is often a victim of his lashing-out and unhealthy parenting methods. He turns a blind eye to Gert’s affection towards him and hopelessly chase Karolina’s—but who knows what the future has in mind? After a peculiar father-son bonding session, Chase and his father engineered a pair of gauntlets called the Fistigons.
Karolina Dean
Model-perfect. Has the glow in her mouth. Forever photogenic.
Gertrude ‘Gert’ Yorkes
A riot girl, five feet one, bespectacled, purple-haired and brimful of iconic one-liners. ‘Gert’ is easily the most cynical and book-smart of the Runaways. She battles the patriarchy by day and tries to sway Chase Stein away from the glowing Karoline Dean by night. Gert occasionally uses her social justice persona as a makeshift cover to mask her true feelings. Gert has a mutual connection with Old Lace, a muttation that largely resembles a baby dinosaur. (Made by her parents Stacey and Dale Yorkes.)
Molly Hernandez
Innocent, peppy positivity, stuffed toys on her bed and toddler hair-clips. Being the fledgling of the Runaways is a challenge as Molly often feels excluded from her older peers. After her parents Gene and Alice Hernandez perished in a fire, Molly was adopted by Stacey and Dale Yorkes and is the adoptive sister of Gert. Unknown to her, she was the primitive subject to her parents the Hernandez(s)’s research. They instilled chemical catalysts and a variety of enhancements into Molly’s system, making her stronger than an average fourteen years old.

NPCs
Geoffrey Wilder – Businessman. Renowned criminal—or so, he says. He has the scars to validate the claims of his past. Geoffrey is a hulking presence and a violent persona. Father to Alex Wilder.
Catherine Wilder – Attorney. Calculated and meticulous with elegance in the way she carries herself. Although she’s loyal to her son, Alex, this loyalty can set aside if she sees him as an obstacle on her path to what she sees as righteousness. Mother to Alex Wilder.
Tina Minoru – Perfectionist, ‘Tiger Mom’, and the chief innovator of the Capitol’s technology. She has others completing her deadlines for her. If there’s anything Tina hates, it’s an explicit display of her feelings. Mother to Nico Minoru and the deceased Amy Minoru.
Robert Minoru – Gentle as a drizzle but less dominant that his wife, Tina—who makes sure that he knows it. The icy nature of their relationship consequently leads to an affair between him and Janet Stein, a victim of her husband’s abuse. Father to Nico Minoru and the deceased Amy Minoru.
Dale Yorkes – Utilizes a humorous and healthy lifestyle—or at least, he tries to. Dale shows a deep love for his family and an incredible knack at science. He, along with his wife Stacey, is taken advantage of by PRIDE for their prodigy-level expertise in mutt designing. Father to Gertrude Yorkes; adoptive father to Molly Hernandez.
Stacey Yorkes – A messy bun and an absent-minded, bubbly persona. She has a progressive approach to her parenting style to Gert and Molly. She, along with her husband Dale, is taken advantage of by PRIDE for their prodigy-level expertise in mutt designing. Mother to Gertrude Yorkes; adoptive mother to Molly Hernandez.
Leslie Dean – TV actress; offers ‘sanctuary’ to the citizens who’re happy in their homes. She has the most difficult task in PRIDE: keeping unwanted conflicts at bay amongst the members. Mother to Karolina Dean.
Frank Dean – TV actor and completely oblivious to his wife’s illicit hobbies. Obsessive tooth-brusher. Father to Karolina Dean.
Victor Stein – Prodigy and one of the most respected engineers in Panem. His breakthrough and revolutionary brain comes with a price—several of them. The frequent lashing-out at his wife, Janet Stein and his son, Chase Stein is an unadulterated example.
Janet Stein – A science genius who left all of her researches to become a housewife to Victor Stein. Due to the domestic violence he inflicts upon her, Janet searched for sanctuary elsewhere and found it in the arms of Robert Minoru, who she is currently having an affair with. Mother to Chase Stein.
- Whoops! First ever plot. Just some points to clarify things because every information above there is junk. They are obviously not going to runaway right away; they'll dwell around and get some answers but when the time comes, it'll mostly be to the outskirts of the Capitol.
- Chase's Fistigons and Gert's Old Lace are simply plotting devices. The muttation cannot attack in the battlefield; it's more of an intimidating presence. Chase's Fistigons use the unarmed roll range but actual fights between the Runaways won't occur.
i hope not. - Chase Stein doesn't have an applicable face as the actor who plays him is taken as a face-claim here for a different character. Anyone who's interested in him can use any face they see fit. xoxo.
