We lost each other in the madness. My sister Louise and my dad, Data. I'm all alone, again. I don't like it. I like friends, I like family, I like having a team.

But I'm alone. Again.

I take my axe and strike out towards the boy. He doesn't understand, I have people to save. Friends to find, eggos to eat. I have to be bitchin' again, and I have to be good at it.

"I'm looking for Mike."

Every time hunters catch up to him, they happen to kill someone other than him. The amount of luck he has had is absurd, but if it's keeping him alive, he won't complain. Maybe because he looks human enough that they are ignoring him. If he was a hunter, he would be an extremely bad one, fleeing every time death occurs within the vicinity. In the last fight he was in, a male stabbed someone to death via ear. He wants to be around strong people that will keep him alive. There hasn't been anyone for him to trust in ages. Consequently, he's not sure how much he can trust anyone left.

With his sword, he slashes at any movement that he notices. Paranoia is rampant.

"Guess you haven't seen him."

He's quiet, like me. Maybe he doesn't deserve what is about to come, but it is all for friendship. I'm becoming the monster again, but it is only so that I can save Mike at the end of the tunnel. I've been here before, I know what to do.

I just have to - do it. Eggos on my mind, family and friends at heart, I lash out at him. My eyes close and I'm putting those feelings into action.

Every single time he thinks he has found someone that he can trust, they either disappear or die. This time is no different. He meets a person that he doesn't recognize and the person immediately tries to kill him. Of course, he's not going to die without attempting to put up a fight, but the other is faster than he is. Moving with their axe, they slice off his calf. First off, that hurts an enormous amount, but the pain he feels is nearly irrelevant to his anger. When he attacks, he made contact, but they retaliated nearly immediately. Moving fast with a heavy sword without part of his leg is a struggle, but he won't die until his skull has a dent in it.

I can feel a trickle of blood coming out of my nose. It hurts, a little, but I can't think about it.

I want to think about Louise and Data, and Mike but I can't. There's a boy, man standing in front of me and he wants me to die. Does he work for the bad people? I don't want to be hooked up on wires again, I don't want to feel like an experiment.

I want to feel like a girl. A friend. So I'm going to fight for it.

It is almost as if they're mimicking each other. One heavy wound for one heavy wound, one shallow wound for a shallow wound. If this pattern continues, he will die. The other is talking, asking if he has seen a person that he does not know. Talking uses up effort that he needs to store in an attempt to kill this person. However, part of him is curious about whether he will be able to live past this conflict. He is bleeding more than he ever has and the the blood loss is leaving him weaker. Although no one would miss him if he died, he slashes once more.

It's like a shock. I know what that feels like, too. The energy in me just surges around me and though it is draining, it is worth it. Perhaps I can be free after this. Maybe there will be eggos and friends and Mike too, but maybe I won't ever be taken back to that place and I'll be a proper person.

It makes me want it even more.

Movement is getting more difficult as more of his blood spills the basement floor that they are in. All of this blood that is being spilled should be staying inside of him. However, this hunter is proving to be too powerful and without any friends to defend him from the brutal axe wielder, every attack that he sustains, leaves him slightly more messed up and tired than he initially was. This person that he is attacking has a reason to live, while he does not, and that will be the deciding factor in who lives and who dies.

ELEVEN

Friends don't lie.

That is what everyone has taught me, back on that day where I saved Mike and we hugged. I felt something then. Something in my chest, and it wasn't a pain, it wasn't hurting me. It was nice. I liked it.

I want it again. I want everything again. I don't want to be sad or to be scared, I want to be happy.

While he lands a good blow with his sword, his competitor is much better than he is. The volley of attacks are about to reach it's climax with one of us dying. He doesn't want to accept his fate, but it seems to be a likely outcome as the ground makes a disgusting squelching sound every time one of them moves. While he was evil at one point, he believes that he has reformed enough to not go into the innermost circle of hell. He'll be satisfied with a resident within hell if he isn't forced to go through emotional pain, the worst of all pain.

So happiness is what I'm going to get.

And when it happens, I'll see Louise and Data and it'll be great. We'll have ice cream again, eat eggos and we won't have to worry about blood or guts or gore. Thinking of eggos makes me hungry, again, and it makes me think back to the slop I saw the dark boy eating in the training centre.

"Gross." I say aloud. Oops.

Stop - focus, come on. I close my eyes again and just feel.

Surprisingly, he did not die from his opponents last attack. He honestly believed that death would take him at that point, dragging him into the ground where he probably belonged. Scott wouldn't be sad to see him get murdered. No one from Beacon Hills would notice or care if he died. He has a tragic backstory, but it is mostly his fault. Nearly every action he has taken has resulted into some blame being placed on him. If he survived now, it would be his fault that he's bleeding so much. It would be his fault because he didn't kill faster.

It's the truth. Maybe we could have been friends in another world.

But we're here, in this world. And someone has to win and someone has to die.

This last wound is too much. He falls to the ground within a pool of his own blood. Well... This was to be expected. There are definitely more humans within the universe than supernatural creatures and if he didn't die at this point, he would have died at some point. Dying of old age doesn't seem pleasant, so at least he went out fighting. Instead of bathing in the blood of his enemies, he's bathing in his own blood from a stump on his right leg. This is some poetic justice he doesn't need in his life. But he's dead so he doesn't have to dwell on the thought for too long.
