Bursting on the scene at the start of the 75th games, The ALL-CAPS Live Podcast & Radio Show became a go-to for all the best Capitol news seemingly overnight: with intrepid and illustrative reporting of every major event, coverage from all cross the city, and even audience participation, viewers lauded ALL-CAPS as a fantastic supplement to mainstream media - especially since their fastidious dedication to detailing the stories of all 52 tributes of the 75th games.

Hosted by Lucky Brooks, ALL-CAPS is looking to be bigger and brighter than ever, covering everything that a Capitol citizen needs to know.

About:
ALL-CAPS is a live news podcast & radio show, broadcasting from the center of the Capitol. They cover Hunger Games News, Celebrity News, (and, possibly, Investigative News). I'd love to have a media presence on the site that allows for Capitolites to react to Games or Events even if they aren't there, and I hope that there's an interest in creating reporters!

ALL-CAPS is looking for a variety of roles, from a co-host to Hunger Games analysts, from producers, to on-the-ground reporters - there's a lot of directions this plot can go that would be really interesting<3 Feel free to DM me on slack, and join the #allcaps channel to ideate!!

All-smiles, encouraging, and excitable around his crew, Lucky Brooks worked night after night to get this show to where it is. But perhaps what he sees isn't what he wants - during ad breaks if one examines him close enough they might see him deflate ever so slightly. And he almost never seems to be at staff outings, or even at his own home. In secret, he is looking into his own story - an expose into the treatment of Avoxes, their emergence as tribute lookalikes and the system that surrounds it. But even if he releases it, he knows that no one will care. And it could lead to his own, and more importantly the station's, demise.

Now that Harlan's mannequin shop is on the market, he is seeking a new path to put his meddling hands to work. For years he wasted his innovative mind and technical skills on hobbies, now he has the opportunity to earn some money from it. As Head Sound Technician, Harlan ensures 100% quality streaming for the audience, on the go and at home. Harlan is always the one to do the rounds of saying good morning at the start of the working day, and is always up for doing the coffee run in the morning. But as soon as he is home, it is back into a pit of loneliness. Will the ALL-CAPS team remain just colleagues, or will there be friends to invite home?

Character Job Title: Hunger Games Analyst/Commentator
Character Ideas: He was once a boy who preferred the company of his own shadow.

Born to modest Capitolites, he was never a vain boy in his youth and in his younger years he was not very attractive. Never managing to keep up with fashion, having unruly and unkempt hair and wearing glasses, he was always the kind of person to sit behind the scenes solving equations rather than to go out socializing in his school years. Forever short on confidence, there was still an aching desire to be something better despite his appearance flaws. He could rise above the storm of his own insecurities no matter what his tormentors told him. Stuttering be damned.

Puberty, a cruel journey but a necessary one. He doesn't remember when the final straw was, perhaps he had been rejected by one girl too many or he had decided enough as he found himself shoved into yet another locker. He vowed to be better in his final year of school, buying books on public speaking and practicing in front of the mirror. Putting in a conscious effort to smile more and practicing his firm handshake with his mother, he promised himself his fortunes would turn. Perhaps fate had granted him just that, he had started to wash and brush his hair, he began to wear contacts as opposed to always wearing glasses and his mother and father's salaries finally would allow him to keep up with the latest fashion trends. As he spoke, he tamed his stutter and buried his insecurities beneath his skin.

Finishing school top of his class, putting his head down in college (or the Capitol equivalent I guess) and graduating the top of his class and working short-term in several industries requiring his talents before gaining an internship at ALL CAPS. Numbers were his life after all, he crunched data. Analyzing data from past games, drawing trends and hypothesis' and finding correlations and causation. It took just over two years of number crunching until he just happened to fall into bed with the right woman who would notice his talents and bring it to the attention of the higher-ups. With his stutter all but conquered and his awkward stature corrected, he was given a taste of the spotlight. Analyzing the games, data from the games and condensing them into his own fifteen minute segment where he would try to predict who was likely to win, what was likely to happen and how it would happen, comment on the games, find similarities with past games, fun facts etc. Based off of the current situations and data from past games of course. It was good to speculate, he was more than an analyst, he was a commentator. With numbers tattooed before his eyes and a small team of analysts under his thumb, he has evolved from a boy who preferred the company of his own shadow to a man who will no longer flinch in the spotlight.

Bullying and insecurities be damned, this is where he belongs.

Character Ideas: Throughout her entire life, she enjoyed being behind a camera capturing the beauty of the world. Sometimes it was the small things in life while other times it was much bigger. It started off small. She would film her friends dancing through the Capitol on the streets with an old camera she had. It barely worked, yet it offered a unique view of the world. Sometimes she didn't think it was worth it, and being shy played a huge part. Going in front of people freaked her out, but she wanted to do something different. She never looked anyone in the eye. Perhaps it was the way she spoke really fast slurring all her words together when she became nervous, or the way she rocked back and forth without meaning to. She always wait for others to start the conversation for her before she would speak until she got to know them.

Now that she stands behind a camera, she capture her love for the world through the eyes of another person giving interviews and reports based on what all is happening. Being part of the ground team meant the world to her, and maybe one day she can help show even more beauty of the world alongside those at ALL-CAPS.

Character Ideas:

She also is never late to the party when reporting on what the tributes are wearing this year.

Shmi ("address her with respect")--

Ahem, Bhagyalakshmi Bhatt is the only daughter to former mutt geneticist Haashim Bhatt and wealthy socialite Namrata Bhatt. As such, she has grown up with everything she could ever possibly need, and much, much more. Her father gained his wealth doubly through his work in the genetics department in splicing together different creatures to create mutts for the games as well as his lucky betting on several eventual Victors. Namrata's wealth might have helped as well, especially when he almost lost it all back in the 60th, but he'll never tell anyone that. Highly educated and put through rigorous finishing school lessons, Bhagyalakshmi is a beautiful future bride and Heiress to the Bhatt fortune.

She also happens to work a temp job for ALL-CAPS, where she has a reputation for being clumsy beyond all belief and incredibly well-meaning, though she managed to spill coffee on some figures last week that caused Lucky to have to squint to read the entire broadcast. She's also hung up instead of transferring interview requests multiple times. The printer is mysteriously jammed every other Tuesday. (Shmi fixes all of her mistakes frantically, usually with only a little, TINY bit of help.) Unbeknownst to her, her temp job keeps getting renewed by accident, and the typical, 'well, we'll let her go on the next renewal cycle,' response is the only reason Shmi has managed to keep the job. That, and she makes really good pastries that she brings to work at least twice a week. 

(Last week, apple tartlets. This week, choux puffs with a raspberry honey cream filling.)

However, Shmi is not as dopey as she seems. Secretly horrified and traumatized by her father's relentless pursuit of wealth and status, she watched for years as he mistreated everyone around him: business partners, her own mother, the Avoxes. She learned to be a silent observer, playing the perfect part so as never to ruffle his extremely colorful and delicate feathers. Shmi was the perfect daughter, so working at an up-and-coming news broadcast agency while she waits for her father to find a suitable suitor is a-o-k. Everyday, she does her best to blend into the background. If that means she has to play the silly office girl who spills coffee twice a month on something important, and sometimes on herself, then so be it. At least it means she remains unnoticed and able to observe.

She might also be running an anonymous crowd-sourced take-down blog about big names in the Capitol? Or planning to do so and has notes in a book she's always carrying? Undecided.

Character Name: Astrid Dèmander
Character Job Title: Games Analyst
Character Ideas: Astrid is the yin to Turing's yang. He's the numbers and she's the raw emotion and feeling. While the boy can throw stats and figures at you until he is blue in the face, Astrid puts the desires and strategies behind the Games into her reporting. I kind of envision her as like an arena-side correspondent that can somehow be there where the action is happening to determine the game theory behind an alliance's moves or attacks on another alliance, why one tribute allied with another tribute, PT scores, and the like.

Inside the arena and in the frame of the production, Astrid and Turing work together seamlessly. Outside of it is a totally different story, but I think the reason they work so well together is their analytical knowledge of the Games and their passion for their jobs and maybe even each other.

Character Ideas: He loved his job, each little scoop leading him to see the fuller picture. When ALL-CAPS came around, he jumped at the chance to do something bigger, do something more. He wanted no longer to be turned away like he used to. A company name, a title. Not a nosy little notetaker but a journalist. A badge, a title, is fascinating, even if the weight is barely heavier than air. He loved his job and wouldn't change it for the world.

Character Ideas: Mars was born into a family of trainers in the Capitol. At a young age Mars wanted to be career, but being born in the Capitol he was never going to be able to participate in the games. This didn’t stop Mars from training with his father every chance he got, eventually learning everything his father could teach him. Mars would watching the games with friends and many times he would explain to them why a tribute was fighting the way they were. Eventually, he ended up roaming around past play areas announcing play-by-plays of reenactments that he came across. Then he heard about ALL-CAPS and this is when he realized what he wanted to do, this is when he realized that he could finally participate in the game like he always wanted.

Character Ideas:
Bee's real name is a bit of a mystery, an enigma, but that is all apart of the act and perhaps a cover up about her past. Born Bellarus Squaller, Bee's family wasn't the richest in the Capitol. Her father was a businessman, her mother a socialite and financial expert who only cared about what was in and what was out and unfortunately when children became out, Bee was forgotten. Cared and raised for by the maids, Bee developed a kind and bubbly nature opposed to her parents. Since she wasn't watched or really under the scrutiny of her parents, Bee dabbled in less than legal things such as hacking. She gained a love for it, hacking and finding out people's deepest secrets. It's thought that she found out some dark secrets about her mother because shortly after she began hacking, Bellarus Squaller vanished and the name Bee began to appear. Bee now works for ALL CAPS revealing Gossip to the Capitol- but she may have an ulterior motive....

My name is Cygnus Winters and I am a seasoned section editor for the Victor's View magazine. Across eighteen years of experience in the field of journalism, I have built rapport with a wide array of Capitol denizens, including gamemakers and victors.

To be quite frank, Mr. Brooks, I have a tenacity for the truth. An itch to tell that story, even if it earns me another incidence report. I only became section editor because I was willing to be quiet and write the stories that made The View the most money.
