Name: James Lachoneus
Age: 15
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
Personality:
Sometimes, James can be annoying, but that's really only when he's suffering from extreme boredom or tiredness. This brings forward some people who don't like him, but for the most part, he's pretty likable. The problem is, that even though James is all happy and bright on the outside, on the inside, there have been a few times throughout his life where he has silently gone through some sort of depression. He knows better than suicide, though, but that doesn't stop his periods of extreme sadness, usually at himself for reasons he can't even explain. Most people don't even recognize when he's going through times like these, and it's usually only his very close friends that he can talk with about it. Most of the time, he becomes depressed when he's feeling particularly useless or when he thinks he has been inconsiderate of others. Selfishness is one thing he hates with a passion, but a little bit of it is in everyone, so when it comes out in himself, he becomes very upset.
James has a very strong passion for the arts and literature. He doesn't have much time for these things, however, because most of the time, he his out with the other workers in his district collecting wood. In the little spare time he does get, James commits to writing a story, or drawing something random. He has a specific love for singing, and usually does it quietly when he's alone in his room or when he wanders off a bit from the rest of the workers in the woods. Some other hobbies and interests of his include ventriloquism, magic tricks, comedy, dancing, and poetry (even though he considers poetry writing stories and singing songs mashed together). James' absolute favorite color is bright yellow, even though it is a rare color to be seen in his district.[/blockquote]

History:
Age: 15
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
Standing at 5 foot 7 at weighing about 120 pounds, James is a slender teenager who finds it easy to navigate through various tight fits. James has light, dirty blonde hair that his father constantly cuts short, even when James has the desire for it to be a little longer. James was born with blue eyes, and remains with possession of them, with only a slight fade in them. James' skin tone is light, but dotted with freckles. Among the freckles, however, he has an almost equal amount of acne. His lips are an average fullness, but he finds them often parched and chapped. Inherited from his father, James' facial hair doesn't take long to grow in, but thankfully, to James, the hair that he does get is short and light colored, so not very noticeable unless looked at closely. James' ears protrude slightly, making him look a bit like an elf. His right ear sports a small chip out of the top of it, one that James was born with.
James often wears simple short-sleeve shirts with a sweater or jacket over it, sheltering his arms. He never wears shorts, only pants or jeans. He always wears his brown boots, even when inside the house, which his siblings dislike very much. Despite his boots, which have a considerable weight, James is quick in running and also with his hands. James isn't tremendously fast, but faster than most others his age. He can out run most of them, however, more because of his endurance and stamina. James also takes time to climb trees, which builds up his small, but still existent muscles in his arms, his leg muscles provided by the running.
Personality:
James can have many different personalities, but the one that shows the most is his optimism and kindness. James makes it clear that he tries to be friendly and caring for everyone and anyone, no matter whether the said person themselves is hostile or friendly towards him. In his conversations, James makes it easier for those around him to smile and laugh. Either people think he's funny and random, or they think he's annoying and weird.

History:
James was born in the late days of fall, in the beginning of November. His mother was and is an assistant at the district's school, and his father works in the woods with James. James has two younger brothers, one is two years younger than him, and the other four years. When he was younger, James used to be the wimpy one of the family. His dad kept trying toughen him up, and thought he was to timid to try anything. Turns out, James' real situation was that he cared too much about others, his dad said. James would never even hurt a fly... literally. There's a spider in James' room? He picks it up gently on a piece of paper and walks to the other side of the house to set it outside. All of this earned James the teasing nickname "Jamie" which was accompanied by phrases like, "you're such a girl". James hated the nickname.
When in school, James' greatest strength is English, but he also does well in History and Science, while Algebra kills him. Many times, James has asked his parents for a pet of some kind. Usually a dog, but they all know it is way too expensive. There was a time where James was going to settle for a rat that he found, but his mother had made it "disappear mysteriously" within one hour of James having it. One thing that James loves besides art and literature is animals. Making people smile is what James likes to do best, and his dream is to one day become a performer. His parents know very well that his is impossible, and they have tried to break it to James times, but James sticks firm to his belief that one day, things will get better. He believes that there is good in everyone, no matter how small or how deep in their souls.
James doesn't have nightmares very often, but when he does. It centers around one thing. You guessed it. The Hunger Games. James has never actually known anyone personally who have been in the Games, but James' parents always found a way for James to not be in the room when the Games were being televised. It wasn't until James turned eleven that he was finally exposed to the bloody show. James watched as other children died and were slaughtered by each other. This was the time when he found his optimism the most challenged. Several times, he would look away from the screen and either vomit or weep into a pillow. His fear only worsened when his parents broke the news to him that when he turned twelve, he would be entered for participation in the Games. Well, really, James had heard it originally from someone else at school, and went to as his parents about it. They had withheld the information from him long enough to devastate him for months once he found out the truth. They thought they had been protecting him, but in reality, they made it worse by waiting to tell him until he was older and in danger of the Games. Now, James waits hopefully, not only worried about himself who is 15, but also his two younger brothers, now 13 and 12 years of age.
