Like a soft wave of an ocean's tide, Jordan is clear and actually thinking with his head for once. Fear grows in his chest like a flower blossoming to life with thorns that wrap around his stomach like he can't believe reality isn't a fantasy. Thoughts pounding over and over like the sound of his heart as he lays there watching Caleb in the room. Fingers ruffling through the hair hidden by his hands. A nervous tick after all of the times of telling Max that life was beautiful and full of beauty. Yet he lays there with worry on his chest and a light blush from watching for too long.
All of this happened like a blur of emotions and reality, a meeting of a stranger in a place where Jordan had felt too open. Too free to not show himself to the world as Max grumbled to him to not be embarrassing. The laughter on his lips leaving and coming back with the conversation of a new person, despite Max's sort of protective glare behind him as Jordan grew capable of talking to this new person who made his heart beat just a little bit quicker. Made the world just a little bit more clearer. All he can think of is moving his eyes to the ceiling and not staring at the attractive man who was spending time with him.
"Uh..." A nervous word slipping from his throat as he gives a light cough and a small smile looking up at Caleb. Everything that happened was real and for once he was glad about that. Reality seemed to disappoint him more and more lately with the truth of his parents and the cynical words of his twin brother. A comfortable sigh falls from his lips as he continues to speak.
"Is it strange for me to say that this all feels surreal?"
