Whisked away on a single breath, I find my surroundings altered. They sway so soundly in the district like the trees in a wind storm. No noise finds my ears and my skin does not allow the gentle breeze to grace my skin, but the way I see straight into the town scares me so. Something is coming and I can feel it without a doubt. Something that carries such a heavy burden within their heart and their mind so full of angst; pitiful. You might be able to help, Crimson-lu. They are no different than you. A gentle soul somewhere deep down. Severely misunderstood. Seek them out. I feel her voice come to me. I feel her guidance sway me like my vision makes my body obey. I am no able to control my spirit's will and why would I want to? She had done everything in her will to protect and provide me with everything I need and for once, she's asking me do to something for her instead of my needs first. My heart yearns for this lost soul. The only question that I'm allowed to ask of her is simple. "Where is he?" Her hand grasps my own, drawing me away from where I slumber in the forest. Zipping through the trees, through the tree tops and dashing through town in some form of astral plain, we stop without notice. The world stays still, frozen in time. I gawk at the boy - his face hiding the secrets deep within. I dance around his body, inspecting his stolen essence. You have to help. A jolt of wakefulness surrounds me and the covers from my bed align to my body, but the hard floor beneath my back twinges. "Next time Dhruva, don't make the landing so rough..." I contest to the rude awakening and exit the house without a peep. Lustor will find me when he needs to, but for now, Dhruva's requests are tended to with haste. Just like in the vision, I find him where he stands. Somewhere near to the train tracks even though he's been back for a day or more. It confuses me why she wants me to see him; to talk to someone from the games, but I smile at him. "You are not a lost soul anymore. You are home, Mackenzie. The trees are glad to see you return." |
