People are always complaining about the Capitol and Panem, how the Games are unfair and how the world is against them. I think those people should chill out and have a mimosa.
Life isn't nearly as hard as people make it out to be. I let my stress roll off in waves at the Moon River Cafe, surrounded by friends of similar mindsets. We drink glass after glass, hide bloodshot eyes behind slick sunglasses straight from the skillful hands of the sunglasses shamans in District Eight. I'd love to meditate with them sometime, they probably have so much to teach us.
There's a television at the Cafe, it broadcasts Hunger Games old and new. I live for the drama in it. I like the female victors more- we stan a strong woman.
Also, don't even try to get me near one of those training centers. They stink, and they're full of poor people trying to find a purpose in life.
Was that not subtle enough? I'm a little too drunk for subtly most of the time.
I'm just saying, the Pierce name has been around since before Panem. We settled in District One as an act of humility. We're a humble folk- I only got like three watches on Reaping day last year.
They were only gold too- no diamonds or sapphires.
I'm a man of the people, what can I say?
The whole brunch squad is full of humble, down to earth people. We're really just like you.
Only, maybe, just a bit better.
