Okay. A single word is enough to stop him from ending everything for himself. No more Caleb. No more Jordan. He would have done it in a heartbeat for his brother. Tension in his veins as his brother just echoes a laugh that'll haunt him for as long as he lives, unless the improbable happens. It'll happen. Jordan needed his brother more than he'll ever know. A boy who would have been dead if it wasn't for his brother. A silence fills him as he can still feel his hands warm from his brother and Caleb's own hands like shackles from anything rash as Max let go and took fate into his hands. And he felt so helpless. He was always so helpless.
There's beauty in the strength. He would have seen it right away if it weren't for the ugliness that created that beauty. Fingers tense as he walks alone through the most clean and abnormal place in all of District Nine. No lingering problems unlike the rest of District Nine. Clean and bringing on a nervous energy that this was real. That everything he dreamed of for a future living with his brother was crumbling slowly. A deep breath as he arrives at the door and knocking softly before walking inside the room. Jordan's there. And his heart aches to do something rash. A silence fills the air as he doesn't let himself cry. Crying would be useless and he needed this last moment with his brother before he was taken away to do the unimaginable.
"I-I...."
A choked sob threatens to come out as tears begin to well out of his eyes. Always the weaker one of the two of them. He loved his brother. He cared so much that it hurt just staring at his brother and having done nothing to save him. Silence fills him as he grounds himself with his own fingers pulling on the edge of his shirt and sniffling slightly.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't do anything. I-I-I don't want to lose you."
